the translucent transparency type sheet does that go underneath or ontop of the lcd panel?

i think it should be on the bottom, but i have it on top of it and tahts why my lcd panel isnt displaying the crisp bright image of hte gas/temp that i had before

dude. i'm not sure what you're talking about. when i took mine apart many times, i made sure to follow the rule NEVER TOUCH THE LCD SCREEN. but it looked like it was kinda bumpy not real smooth. so if its really smooth and all then it probably doesn't go on top. have you tried taking it off completely? it will definately be blurry if you don't have that thing sitting perfectly on there, like no bubbles or bumps in it.
