Hey. I'm thinking of getting some rims on my car...most likely something from 5zigen. Anyhow...what's a good wheel measurement for the celica. I'm getting 17's.
I'm talking about what's a good offset, is it 5x114.3 or 5x100 or whatever those numbers are. Mostly...I want to know an offset that will fit the celica, which will make the car look the best. I always wanted a fat lip on the rim...but not too fat.
Help me out, guys.
thanks

the 5x number is a lug pattern. 5 lugs on 100mm (5x100) is your only choice. You'll find a lot of wheels that are dual-drilled to fit both 5x100 and 5x114.3
Offset is the distance from mounting surface to centerline of the wheel. OEM offset is 39mm. Go lower and the centerline pushes outward; higher and the centerline moves inboard. A wheel wider than 6.5" will magnify the effect of the offset when you consider the edge of the wheel (i.e. go with a lower offset and a wider wheel...the outer edge, as compared to oem, will move out a distance equal to the change in offset plus 1/2 the change in width)
probably your best bet is to shoot for the 35-40mm range.

i'm getting a 7.5 inch wide rim, so what would be a good offset to maximize the lip size and still not rub too much

honestly speaking...i dunno either...haha...
ok. I'm planning on getting some 17 x 7.5 inch 5Zigen 5ZR's on my car. I wanna know what offset I should get, that would look nice, but not rub.

like I said before, I'd go with 35-40mm

Well with 5zigen I think the lowest your gonig to get with the 5zr's is +42 which will still be fine, I think the highest we can go is +45.... but i think 5zigen is +42 or +39 for their 5x100 wheels
