man either a lot of ppl are ordering hatch shocks for their trunk... or im getting screwed by the auto body place because i just talked to them again today and they called toyota and talked to someone there who said that the hatch shocks are on back order right now?! how many ppl are having problems with their hatch shocks wearing out really fast?

Your the only one, but it may be your wing I just have the stock wing which doesn't weigh much I know that the other wings weigh a lot more. You may want to PM David Draper he may be able to help you out.

I have the stock wing and my hatch shocks are tempermental. sometimes they stay up other times they let go and the hatch slams shut

just go to pep boys and pick up another set.

It's the weight of your aftermarket wing. Everybody I've seen with one have problems keeping the hatch lid up.
