i was just wondering... what ever happens to the oil that you take to go dispose of?? do they gather it up and clean it out and re-add additives to it and re-sell it for consumer use or industrial use?? it just popped in my head today....

im not sure but I would also like to know since I just changed my oil yesterday. Someone out there must know?

Some of it probably does make it back into other lubricants. A lot of it probably gets incinerated.

It gets converted into diesel fuel and consumes in ships.

Also used to make asphalt for new roads/driveways.
