FOG Help *after I read the install guides

SO after i did the alternative way for full control of the fogs i hooked it up to the cig. lighter which im assuming its the red wire for the light bulb?
i turned it on but i still doesn't work :AF: what did i do wrong?

you messed something up.
next time use a test light to check wires instead of guessing

Don't want Red... you want the Gray wire for the Cig Lighter.

i wired it to the gray wire.. but it seems like its only for ground?

the new wire gauge is a bit bigger. i followed the steps but still doesn't work.
is it the guage wire the problem?

I think you wired it to the wrong wire obviously. I just connected mine to my deck's power, so I can have my fogs on even if the car is off. I already have too many things going to my cig lighter :marky:

Does the cig lighter or bulb work?? Maybe you blew a fuse.

Hopefully you are trying to control a relay (OEM or otherwise) and aren't expecting to run 12V fom the cig to the fogs directly thru the OEM switch........right?:confused:

im doing it from the relay... the bulb still works! its green!

Are you SURE you got to the right relay? I did mine recently and I thought it was another relay.

You're replacing the two red wires (That go into one) to for the wire connected to your cig lighter correct? Not sure why it's not working

yea the two red wires!... i added a new female connector and wired it to the cig lighter (gray wire). its not working?.. my gauge wire is a bit bigger. could that be the problem?

Think you could take a pic or something? Wouldn't be the red wire that goes to the cig lighter? Since the fog relay needs 12-volts which should be the power (red wire going to the cig) ? That's what I thought...


As long as it's not like 2 gauge wire you're using it should be fine.

ill try to hook it up to the red wire again... ive looked at it and doesn't seem hard but i dont understand why it wont work?
