I just recently got off the phone with EIP Tuning in Maryland, and I will be giving them my car probally in the middle of September. I am gettng the Stage 3 Turbo kit, with all of the extra goodies needed. Overall installed it will be costing me 12,000. So wish me good luck and thanks.

12,000 will get you their project celica install, ie engine rebuild, pistons, rods, sleeves. Also the computer tuning.

He bought a $21k car and is going to spend $12k for the kit...$33k car now. Personally i would rather have a boosted Celica than any other car i could purchase for the same price. And it will be much more original. I can garuntee he wont see any other boosted celicas pull up beside him at a light. Not for a long time. WTG dude!!!! BTW. It also comes with Exhaust, Downpipe, Dynotuning, etc.

Holy **** dude.... That would be my ultimate purchase in the future. Lemme see.... turbo my celi, or downpayment for a house... TURBO THE CELICA! If you think about it, a WRX is about 28 grand. So you figure you get about 80 extra horses, better looks (IMHO) and one of the only ones around? I'd go for it, just add the finance charge to my car payment now, and it'll be around the same as paying on a WRX. Only thing missing is AWD. But hell, if you can blow 12 grand out your ass without thinking about it, i'm sure you could blow 10 more and have an ultimate celica with it's intended 2ZZ engine instead of the 3SGTE. Very original. And yes i know you could make a 9 second car for that much money, but no one would have your sub 13, high 12 2000 celica turbo. If I ever turboe's my car, i'd make a custom badge (and this is copyrighted, so don't evenb think about stealing it) that would say Celica in small letters above 3 larger letters "TL-S" in red. and it would rest on a chrome looking back. TL stands for Turbo Lift, if you were wondering. A 2000 Celica TL-S

seriously for lack of a better word all you haters need to just shutup. This guy is doing what so few can in this market he is being original and that is what it takes to win. Second of all if he sets up his car right he has a chance of making high tens with 320 at the wheels and I know you think i am full of it but I have a vested interest to, and for the most part I know my stuff. I payed in full for an xs kit, the last preproduction kit (1 of 4) before they go on sale, and I paid in full in march. now if they could pick between a custom computer and an apexi power fc I could get my kit I also bought new valves, springs, retainers, pistons, rods and a few other goodies with all that he and I could easily make are cars go up to a redline at 9600 or even higher with a proper shop bringing it there, now think of that car, a super light japanese import with over 350 at the wheels and revs to nearly 10 grand on the clock now tell me who wouldn't want that, sure you could by a lancer evo 7 or an rx8 but what is the point everyone and there mother will have one of those more than likely and you will still smoke them and not just in teh drag strip, he will also be doing this in a car that can outhandle stock for stock most anything on the road today, and if you drop a tanabe suspension in there or even tein if that is what you can get it is no contest you have a one of akind supercar that will beat a ferrari to 150mph and outhandle almost everything on the road now tell me that isn't worth $33,000. sorry for getting on your post carbonblue02 but just wanted to defend another who has invested so very much into the future of this car. and carbonblue02 I am glad another who has been waiting for turbos, for quite some time now has finally done what they said they would and bought one hope to see her run some day.

There's no way his car could go high 10's.

If you remember SCC's issue with 4 high power FWD cars, each making 400-500 whp and the best they could muster was a 12.0xx.

You can't get enough traction for a FWD car with full interior and street tires to break 11 seconds.

Hey man... go for it!! It's actually a good deal. I don't know where the rest of you guys are from, but my friend spent 9 grand building a gsr motor. Now that doesn't even include a turbo kit, which was like 3 grand. She puts down 375 hp to the wheels, and runs high 11s on slicks with a full interior, and that's at PALMDALE(one of the slowest tracks in cali). So 12 grand for a celica is a damn good deal. And it looks waaay better too.

Second, have any of your concidered that there is more to the term performance than just going in a straight line? With the kit, he will have one of the most bad ass handling cars on the street ( with the right suspension). Maybe we should be considering a more complete definition of fast....
