Pretty Funny Gathering in front of at a VW dealership in LI NY (http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5028719-Pretty-Funny-Gathering-in-front-of-at-a-VW-dealership-in-LI-NY)
He figured it must be some type of customer appreciation event.

Upon closer inspection it looked quite different:

Being a VW Jetta owner I can TOTALLY sympathize.... this is probably the last VW I will EVER own...

So, it begs the question: Have any of you or someone you know, bought a new or certified pre-owned vehicle, only to find out a shortwhile later that it's a LEMON?

Boy I'm gonna have some lemonade now. I've never been sold a lemon.

Not even my used VW is a lemon - so far that thing has been reliable as hell - the only problems have been inflicted upon it by my wife (scraping oil pan on train tracks, backing into the garage).

My lemoniest car was my RX-8, and that was more from me turbocharging it than anything.

Actually, scratch that - my brand new Civic SI which had wiring issues, still has a TPMS issue, and rusted after 1 year of ownership. That thing is a turd and I'll never buy another Honda again.

I've had no issues like any of those and I was in upstate NY. Spent 3 winters up there and DD through them all.

My parents bought a brand new 01 or 02 dodge ram, transmission started to act up, they fixed it 2 or 3 times but the problem continued.

We threatened to park outside the dealership with lemon signs, they gave my parents their money back.

How did you get those issues resolved? If you got them resolved. Did the dealer take the car back?

That'll do it.

My aunt in the US had a 1994 Previa back in the day, it had a persistant issue with the combination meter, it went to the dealer 3 or 4 times and they could never fix it. Eventually she went to court and won and they paid my aunt 11K and she kept the Previa. A cousin took a look at it and found out there was an issue with two wires. A few hours and $5 dollars later it was fixed. :chuckles:
