So I was curious, the stock reverse light is a 921 bulb. Is it at all possible to replace it with something a bit brighter and bigger such as a 7440/7443 or 3156/3157??? Will these bulb male ends such as those fit into the stock female end of the 921 reverse light? Can this be done? Just looking for something a bit brighter. (P.S. all bulbs are being replaced with LEDs in the tail light housing)

Thanks,

AZgts

744x and 315x are incompatible with the 921 socket. If you're going to replace them with LEDs, you can use any 194/168 style bulb to replace the 921, which should give you plenty of options.

Thanks for the quick response! That's the other option I was thinking as well. So the 194/168 will fit no problem?

Yep, generally the bulbs with three digit part numbers are interchangeable. Swapping regular filament bulbs can have an impact in the life of the bulb because of different current draws, but with the properties of LED bulbs you don't have to worry about this.

I'll give it a shot :) Pic will come soon as my housings and replacement bulbs arrive ;)
