I got this buddy of mine who's been talking alot about carputers and what he wants to do. he's got the sources to mass these and or build them to specs. the problem is that he's not much of a car guy. so were trying to get a general idea on what people would want out of a carputer.
basically its gonna be like a regular 7inch double din with all the goodies.
what programs or what would you like the unit to do that would entice you as a consumer purchase one. and at what price? im a tight ass so the cheaper the better but realistically what do you think one would retail for? maybe a base model? maybe a super awesome model?
were thinking of building and selling some locally so we can tweak them if theres any problems but he'd like to know what the people want.
i see theres programs out there where you can plug in your obd2 plugs and read what your cars doing on your monitor.
also kicking around the idea of phone tethering the internet to your head unit. either via bluetooth or a usb port.
would be pretty neat :shrugs:
