I'm new here, and just busted up my celica :sadpace: Wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about insurance buybacks? Is it worth it? How does it work exactly?

let insurance make an estimate. then they determine if the vehicle is to be repaired or bought by them at a fair market price they determine.

They gave me an estimate, but IDK if its worth buying back.
^ This is what I want to know, guys. Is it worth buying back? What could I do with that car?

if the estimate was low then the buy back could be low. usually the buyback isn't worth it. it may be to you if you can recover your money or rebuild with a salvage tittle.
my 00 celica gt 150kmiles, somebody hit me at a stop light. totaled it insurance offered me 4k for my car. i fought them they then appraised my car at 12k. still totaled, but the buy back was 4k, not even worth 4k that if it was in excellent condition. I told them to keep that szhit!

I think theyre offering buyback at $900 amd its worth close to $6k
Any thoughts? How could I recoupe my costs? Damage is somewhat extensive...

fix it yourself and keep the difference, or buy it back for 900$ and sell 900 worth of parts to break even. anything extra you sell is profit....
ps dont make 2 threads on the same BS

Step - 1: Buyback
Step - 2: Part Out
Step - 3: Buy another Celi or something else you fancy
Step - 4: Use spare cash you WILL have to mod new whip or pocket it
Step - 5: Enjoy the ride...
DISCLAIMER: "Results may very based on extent of damaged part and how much can to salvaged"

ps dont make 2 threads on the same BS A "Please don't make 2 threads" would have been enough, this is afterall the Newbie Zone and we are a bit more tolerant around here. For you it's probably BS but it's not for the OP, just try to put yourself in his shoes.
