questions on factory alarm

Heres the facts:
after accident on passenger side, when i press unlock the car will flash lights and beep twice like normal. when i press lock, the red alarm light does not come on in the inside, the lights do not flash, and the car will not beep one time; which its supposed to.

And question:
does anyone know how to fix this and what the problem could be with the factory alarm?

I had a response (or lack of) like yours from the security system when I had a power lock go out. Turns out it'll only beep when it detects all of the doors have locked. I assume your power locks all work, so I would have to say you've got trouble with the detection of wether or not a lock is locked. Your passenger side accident makes me want to think you've got a damaged wire, or perhaps the sensor in the latch assembly has gone bad. Check out the electrical manual sticked in this forum for more information on finding the exact problem.

i never thought about that. turns out the shop is going to fix everything when they put the new door on so it should be fixed. thanks :)
