Remove the terminal from the connected and if possible get a new terminal and
Attach the broken wire. Other wise you would have to Try and salvage the old terminal.

Is there a special name for the terminal?

get a new harness

Also, whats the name of the harness?

The little metal connector on the inside can be removed and the wire can be re-soldered or clamped back on..then clipped back in the plastic connector. Sometimes you need a special tool to remove them..other times you can use a very small flat head screwdriver.

I'm sure a garage could replace that for you.

Snap on sells a terminal tool set like this for about 100.

Before you try and remove this terminals do some research. Se plugs have more than one locking device used to hold terminals in place.

You can get something called a connector repair wire from the dealership. Just pop out the old one, put in the new one and solder it.

Did you look at the picture? There isn't enough wire to solder it on to.

i believe that is the same wire that broke on my car. its a pain, but not impossible to remove that pin from the connector. just solder the wire directly to the pin if u cant get a new one.

need a better pic to know what sensor it is

why dont u just cut a small piece of wire and then solder one side to the short wire then the other end to where it connects?

He doesn't need an entire new connector, all he needs is a repair wire (which he'll have to get if he buys a new connector anyway).

Ok, the wire is cut too short to effectively resolder and repair without disassembling the connector. As one person stated, you could buy the connector at the dealership, or a repair kit. The best option is to find one at a junk yard and snip- snip, instant replacement with pigtails for probbaly cheaper than the deaker. No offense, but if you have to ask 'how to fix this' I would suggest you have a garage do it or buy the connector (I assume they come with pigtails.) This would be the best case repair scenario for you. Then you could cut the wires back, remove the proper amount of insulation and solder or crimp the new connector.

I have to ask, how did you cut it that short, on accident? The angle of the wire looks odd to. Like its bent at to far of an angle. What does it connect to? I could maybe help with the connector part number if I knew what it went to.

just get a repair splice. Maybe a new terminal insert (brown/orange plastic part). Less than 5 bucks at Toyota for both.

The connector looks to be either the TPS or the VSV for the intake. Can't tell from the angle of the picture.

Looks like the V5 VSV(EVAP) connector.

Those contacts look like they would be a real pain to push out on the car. Maybe a new connector with the repair splices are the way to go.

Plus the connector for the butterfly valve is the same, only blue.

Trackrabbit, looks like you did a butterfly delete anyway with a CAI. Cut that one off (V3) and it's free. (People have accidently swapped those connectors in the past.)

I was taking out my CAI with the filter attached n i'm assuming when tugging on the piping, it ripped accidently

I just might do that :wiggle:

I have a whole bag or connectors I cut from the harness that came with the 2zz I got from the vibe. I didn't really feel like keeping the whole harness so I cut them all off. I probably have one if you need it.

If it's broken at the surface of the terminal just strip the wire and solder it back to the terminal.
If it's broken down in the terminal use a tiny drill to drill it out, strip the wire, solder it back to terminal. Takes 2 mins tops....
