Here is a link to the intake i won on E-bay...
Assuming i get the answers i need, this will be the last time i ask anything about this.
I am trying to install this on a 5-speed Manual. WTF are those four little tubes coming out the side for?? should anything be connected to these? Or should i just plug them up?
PLEASE HELP!!! I want this thing in and working ASAP!
Thanks

It will come with directions. I'm sure it'll include a vacuum hose wiring diagram.

Hey where in IL are you from?
Yeah those vacuum hoses are real basic on where they go. I'm a complete car noob when it comes to actually working on them but I got it alright.

Yeah you just take the vacumm hoses it came with and hook them up in the locations the stock ones where in, As for directions it may not come with them my friends neuspeed front mount CAI had no directions but it was pretty simple.

Hey Blah, I am from the St. Charles area and i go to school near Naperville.
I got the intake already and it came with no instructions. I attatched the one main vacuum hose to the big tube, and the one breather hose that goes into the intake manifold into one of the small tubes...but i still have three left. I plugged them up to see how it runs...and it is very clunky at start-up.
NEW PROBLEM!!! Now my CHeck engine light has come on! What should i do?> Has anyone else had problems with this?
Thanks for your other replys.

Contact the seller. You can do some searching, but since this is a no-name brand, I don't know if you'll find the proper wiring config on the net. Maybe you can find someone with the same intake, and ask them. Vacuum routing must be done properly or you will definitely get CEL problems and horrible performance. If I were you I wouldn't be taking guesses on how it should be done, especially since so many people have problems with AEM and Injen intakes.

You know what get's me is that this intake was tested and blah blah a while back. It was prototyped by a member here who has carbon blue 5 speed I think. I think he gave dynos as well.
Anyway the thing looks like RMM intake and that's all good as long as it delievers power. My deal is how come the makers of all these intakes and exhaust systems never post dynos or advertise powers gains for both Celica models. Not to hate on the GTS, but when I want to purchase performance wise parts for my GT, I either have to dyno the fok for myself or search like hell just to find out it gains 2 or 3 horses.
So my point is are these numbers for the GT or GTS??

NEW PROBLEM!!! Now my CHeck engine light has come on! What should i do?> Has anyone else had problems with this? There are a few things you can try:
1: Make sure all the hose clamps are tightened completely. Any leak will throw off the MAFS's readings.
2. Make sure the MAFS has a good seal on the pipe. Try putting some oil on the rubber gasket on the MAFS.
3. Plug up all four tubes on the intake. Plug up the tube on the intake manifold, too. Get rid of the hoses that were attached to the intake manifold. Most intakes for the Celica elimnate these hoses. That's why they don't have the four extra tubes coming out of the intake.
4. Check the size of the intake piping. It should be 2.5". If it is 3", it will throw off the MAFS readings and you will have a CEL no matter what you do. I know there were one or two intakes in the very beginning that were 3".

I answered this post in the Performance Section but you might have missed it just in case here ya go:
guess it kinda depends on what kind of Intake you have but here is how mine is set up:
4 hose connections in all:
1) the large connection that you already mentioned
2) 3 smaller connections on the opposite side of the intake, these hoses run from the intake into the vacuum sensor located on the backside of the stock air filter housing.
3) The fourth hose extends from right to the left of your throttle cable. This hose should be plugged.
If you need diagrams check out the Installs section under Performance and look at the RMM intake installation. The installation is basically the same for most short ram intakes. It will show you which hoses go where.
If yours come with a place for the 4th hose I guess it would be alright to connect it but I would just plug the hose and the connector on the intake.
Hope this helps!

thanks y'all. I am gonna try some different ways of sealing the MAF a little bit better tomorrow...it involves weather stripping and Electrical tape :-)
But if this thing keeps acting up i am just gonna rip it out and go back to stock air box with K&N air filter...i got off the line better with that set up anyways.
Thanks again.

Did u order from this from New York from JDM Motors??? Cause I order the exact same product for my 2002 GTS Celica and the intake pipe was way to freaking long!!!!!! (about 3 inches longer from the body throtle. it would not fit at all. I contacted the seller, he said i was the 3rd out of 30 people that said the pipe was too long.
i wait like 3 weeks to getting shipped. he took forever to ship the damn product when i orderd it.
man this really sucks......... i went threw all this hasel getting the intake shipped back to him. he said he will be getting me a refund for $95 (he said i should get the check this monday. so much waiting time!!). i paid $90 total. the damn package i sent back only took 2 days from Cali to NY. and ill be getting my refund in like 4-5 days.... i dont get it.
so im getting back 5 dollars.... not worth all the hasel :(
from now on im only going to buy name brand parts ebay. no more private products like the intake pipe. the K&N filter that he included was the only one i knew that was named brand.

i don't think it was JDM. But the pipe fits ok.
I did some sealing work around the MAF today so we will see how she does tonight when i take her out.
