Anybody know where I can get a lightweight 16" rim thats NOT $1500-$2000? I was really feelin' the Rota Slipstreams, but they don't make our bolt pattern (5x100).

I've heard many ppl recommend Kosei K-1s... affordable and light. I've yet to hear a bad thing about them. It helps that they do look pretty good. ;)

Ok,
I'm on this page http://www.machiii.net/machiii/html/wheels/Rota_Slipstream.html
It states Wheel specs: 15x6.5" +40mm offset, 16x7" +40, or 45mm offset
Isn't our ideal offset 38-40 mm ?
then if you look down you can select the 5x100 bolt pattern...
Doesn't this work for our car ? Or am I missing something?
from the FAQ on this website :
: I want to get new rims/wheels, what is the bolt pattern and offset for the Celica?
A: The bolt pattern is 5 x 100 and 39mm offset.

Yes. No.
I think Rota just recently began making the slipstream in 5x100. Rota Subzero is another light, inexpensive choice.

NoCones, you have any experience with these wheels? or hear any good/bad stories?
Realistically if we kept them strictly for track use , they'd probably have a better chance than the pot hole-ridden streets and crap around here in MN.

No personal experience. First heard of them when I had a Miata...the Rota Circuit 8's are very popular with the MX-5 crowd.
I've only ever heard good things. If I didn't already have a bunch of oem 15's for autox, I'd be buying Slipstreams or Subzeros.

GTS24...only the 15 comes in 5x100...not the 16".....and thanks for findin' the sub-zeros NoClone....kind of a rip-off of the Racing Harts though...but they are really tight.....I'll keep you guys posted and find out if they are gonna make the 16" in 5x100....later

FLIK Apex, only available at the people who sponsor this section (sorry I can't remember). 16x7 at 15lbs I believe. $149.
Rota Subzeros, which are available in our offset but only in 15in and 17x7.5
Kosei K1s are only in 15 and 17s for our offset too (I believe).
