Hey guys, in the spring I'm looking to put a drop to my Celica. It has 146,000 miles on the stock suspension but it doesn't feel bad at all. I just put 16" moda wheels on it also, so that's what I have to work with.

I was wondering what is one of the cheapest and most practical ways to drop it about 1.5-2.0"? I want to give it a look like this (I don't know if this is more than a 2.0" drop, but I want close to it):

I'm also curious, the drop on the celica looks good.

if you want to get low like that black celi I would suggest looking at skunk 2 or tanabe df springs and new shocks. with springs, since you cant adjust them, you either have to settle for being a little lower than you might want or settle for being a little higher than you want, just because of the options out there spring wise. a modest 1.2-1.5" drop looks alright, but like myself (i have tein h.tec springs), i kind of regret not going with a lower spring but it definitely looks better than stock. and on the other extreme, a 2-2.5" drop looks pretty darn low. so its up to you, or you can check out some cheaper( as opposed to the 1200-1500 sets) coilovers for around 800-900 bucks for the adjustability of the drop.
just be sure if you get springs, with your mileage, get the shocks too. the install is a pain and you wouldn't want to put everything back together and then a couple weeks pass by and your shocks go and you have to do it all over again, plus get it aligned again. Im on blown front shocks right now, and it's not fun and hurts the ride/performance greatly.

I've got skunk2 springs and the drop looks exactly like that black one's drop. I'm on blown stock shocks now and the ride is horrible but I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Tokico Illuminas!

How would these work? How is the instillation with these?
