I've been reading around the suspension + break tuning threads, but I've yet to find the answer...And I was thinking about getting myself some of the springs.

On rafa's advertisement it's said to drop between 1" and 1.5", some people have posted that it drops 1.2"; I would like to see a picture of the drop on a celica if anyone has em on theirs.

Thanks in advance..

Ps. sorry if this question has been asked before, I just couldn't find the thread.

IMO it's a nice drop if you have a body kit, but if you have the stock body it might be too subtle.

I have the TRD kit, and I'm planning on getting 17s, so maybe trd springs would be perfect

I have trd springs and the car is still pretty high, but it eliminates the 4x4 look :wiggle:

I'd still say go lower, the drop is minimal :/

What would you recommend? (brand, drop height)

Its really up to your preference. I used to have my car slammed on coilovers but I had to be very careful going up and down driveways, speed bumps, getting in and outta my house was becoming a nuisance. I found myself not even wanting to drive my own car anymore for errands because of it.

After i raised the car to about the TRD drop, it was much easier and comfortable to drive around. it took the "worry" out of the equation, and really brought the fun back to driving the celica again.

im going with the hotchkis ones, which lower a little more than the trd ones.
the one thing that turned me on to these ones, is that it should even the car out better since the rear end is higher than the front end.

I found a brand new sportivo kit for a steal... not sure if they are the same springs (purple matching kit: struts/springs, sways) very slight drop(inch or less) and i believe a 20% stiffness increase over stock... just what i wanted due to the dilapidated condition of the backroads i roll through... could stand it to be stiffer though... luckily was still able to fit my oversized 225/50/r16 on my stock rims w/out rubbing...2cents

How LOW exactly does TRD Springs drop?

I had tokico blues with eibach sportlines and trd kit... the same as trd sportive and measured ground clearance...

any more drop and it's just too much trouble getting from point a to point b IMO especially if you're in a hurry..

if it was up to me i would love to be low as you cali folks can be. but i dare anyone to try and be low on the east coast with a kit. they have the most strict laws about modification in the US. ever notice how everything aftermarket says no-no in Cali?

bernie's drop is amazing. props for that stance and the c-one but how does he do it? (side note over here in ny the cops dont give out fix it tickets. maybe just for a dark tint every now and then.) Bernie if your reading this how do you do it? my guest was you had an air suspension kit and dropped it for pics.

If you decide to go with the TRD springs watch out the rear, it can scratch/touch the wheelhouse when driving with 4 guys in the car coz the TRD have still a soft stiffness compared to all other springs except stock. I would at least get KYB AGX shocks at the rear and adjust them to the hardest possible. The TRD springs are funny, if you seat in the car with a passenger it will drop the car a whole inch additionally, the stiffness is really a compromise between comfort and sport. If you got a body kit and drive on bumpy roads, the TRD springs are a great compromise.

I decided to get some eibach sportline; I'm guessing I'll go for the 2 in drop; now need to decide on which shocks to grab.
