Removing A/C Vents

Anyone know how to remove these things? I've pryed around for 2 weeks straight trying to get them out, I wanna remove them so I can have them painted. Let me know.

Here's a pic in case u don't know what im referring to:

You can only remove the two rotating flaps. Get a flathead screwdriver, cover the end with masking tape (to prevent scratches) and pry them out. The rest (rotating bracket) can't be removed unless you take the entire dashboard out.

Another option is to get my AC Vent Overlays. Then you don't even have to remove them:)!

Who makes the CF dash overlay and where is it available? Looks very good.

The center pieces, window, and mirror control covers were factory options. The vent covers are something I messed with after getting a roll of CF vinyl from the King of Vinyl, Bat :)

I'm sure if you asked him nicely he could makes his vent covers in CF for you :)
