if anyone took their springs to a shop to get them put on, how much were you charged. i was looking around today and i went to daytona toyota and they quoted me $750 :chuckles: the best part was when the tec said "yea they charge alot because its 8 hours of labor. the guy knows because he installed alot of TRD stuff on a GT the other day. TRD flywheel, TRD shifter, and TRD supercharger."

i got my springs installed for $400 by toyota. i know it's a lot but i didn't want any chances of my warranty being screwed up with my suspension or anything. it took them pretty much all day. i picked it up like at 5pm and they were just getting it done after dropping it off in the morning.

I know a certified toyota mechanic he did them for me for 125 at his house it took 4 hrs.

Ummmm TRD doesn't have a SC for the GT yet, I don't think I would trust this toyota dealer

I paid $100...and that is still a lot....

Hopefully when I swap my TRD to Tanabe, I will be paying less than $60 in L.A.

If you are paying more than $150 for spring installation, you are paying too much...

Just take the plung and do it yourself w/a friend that knows how or who has done it before. It took and a friend about 4 or 5 hours to do it. Just go to the install page, get the tools you need and do it! The hardest part was the rear end. It's worth it, it makes you feel like a man and then go get your sheet aligned and maybe balanced at your choice of shop.

the problem with that is i have never done anything like it before. i did my CAI myself, thats the only thing i have ever done to a car. id prolly screw it up. i think im gonna go with the 200 bucks from the import shop.

I don't know if a dealer is the best route to go when it comes to installations. Sure, you don't risk getting your warranty screwed up, but they always overcharge you.

True That..........

I too put on my own CAI from injen and it took me about 4 hours, but I did it. No other experience to working on cars either and now I change my oil, clear my own air filter, change spark plugs. It's cool to get your hands dirty every so often. But, we guys just want to give you the best advice we can. If you're not gonna diys then go with the cheapest price and hope that they don't find anything wrong with your car and also hope they get the car back to you in a timely manner. I hate it when they take too long.

$150 for TRD struts and springs installed, and it was done in 3 hours at a local shop.

I only paid $35 dollars to a local shop to take apart my rear struts because the top nut was on too tight. The only hard part about a spring installation is the tightness of the nuts and bolts. If you get a breaker bar which is only $30, you're good to go. I would never pay anyone to do a spring installation. After you do work on your car yourself, you'll feel more confidence and you'll have that sense of pride that you did it yourself. Besides for $150, you could get a TRD rear strut bar to go along with your springs.

sometimes dealer and performance shop can mess up the installation as well.

When my shiet got installed.. the mechanic didnt do it right so my front bearing was phucked.. thank God i got it replaced covered under warranty..

when i get my Tanabe springs... i am gonna do it myself.. might as well... shiet i mean the only way you learn is to try... juss take the time and be careful with it...

I just installed short shifter, exhaust, intake for my friends integra yesterday and I've never worked on integras before...
