Need a good celica commercial!

Don't you guys think that toyato needs to make a new celica commercial? I remember when it first came out in 2000, they had the commercial with the fighter plane and that was pretty cool. They need to make one like that again with the sound of the high revving engine, arial shots, and curvy road shots. Don't you guys agree?

yea Toyota needs to make a new commercial, they should call a big meeting and have us show up and then we can do a ride for the camera!! That would be sick to see your Celica in a commercial all the time kinda like all the people that made appearences for the fast and the furious

Yeah that first one was the best. They need to say in the beginning of the comercial "Looks Fast?" Then have some performance footage and say "Is fast!" What do you think? Maybe Toyota will pay us for our ideas.<IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm32.gif" border=0> I'm sure!

t2000, those were one of the best commercials for the Celica :) I think a better variation of the "look fast campaign would have been this:

like the commercial where the motorcycle cop pulls over the parked celica: he stops, then another Celica zooms past blowing off the officer's helmet (or something to that degree) then the words Doesn't just 'look fast'

Eh, Toyota needs to put out better commercials.

Those commercials were awesome, I've never seen either of those, but have heard a lot about the one with the fighter planes. Those need to be placed in an archive of some sort :D

hell yea toyota needs to make a new commercial.. but i doubt they will.. the first celica with the planes was kool.. also that candian one was koo too.. but im guessing back then.. thats wen toyota was marketting the celica as a sports car with power.. now i guess toyota's marketing department is aiming the celica towards the young crowd.. and they figure lets make the car LOOK good and FAST.. hence the development of the now crappy *looks fast* celica commercials.. and the action package.. just to sell the car.. remember those other commercials with the dog and the ketchup? that was pathetic as well.. they even used a base model gt with hubs.. they didnt care to advertise the GTS' power.. but just to advertise the Celica's looks..

thats just wat I THINK is goin on behind toyota's marketing/advertisement department with the celica.

hey, anyone remember the ghetto VW-wannabe commercial thing i did last year? :)

where the camera is sitting staring at driveway. and you see a celica pull out. a few seconds later you hear the guy go flying by redlining like a maniac. then a few more seconds and he pulls back in. :D

when i get home i'm gonna look for it ;)

hehe ok i'm taking this idea from my friend... it still goes along with the "looks fast slogan" but i think its more interesting with it being a jet plane... also they could always add on to it where the owner is sitting in the car.. and after the jet flies by the owner could launch it and as soon as it hits VVTL-i you could see the Celica pass the jet plane or something. I dunno i thought it was a neat idea.

*pilor swings down fast through residential areas*

or wait i just thought of something else. The Celica could be stopped at the stop light... the jet goes down to race not realizing he's stop... just as he passes the Celica thinking he won the Celica could come zooming by in VVTL-i... something like that.
