OK, I've had a ton of overspray on my car for quite some time now, and I wanna get rid of it this weekend. My mom was spraying paint on an oven hood in the garage, and even though my car was outside, it still got hit. :o The front got hit the worst (feels like fine sandpaper). The rest of the car isn't as bad, but it's still annoying.
Besides using a claybar (major PITA cause most of the car is covered), is there anything else I can use to safely remove the overspray? It's not really visible unless you look at it from the right direction (looks like dust particles). A cleaner wax, maybe?

i found the claybar was the only way to get rid of the FACTORY B!TCHS OVERSPRAY GRRR!!! but it is all good now. sorrow but it think claybar or some rubbing achole might work. maybe.

Definately get a claybar kit. Either Mother's or Meguiars will do the trick just fine. Afterwards, follow it up w/ a polish & wax to make your car sexy again. I had to do this to a brand new (at the time) 2000 Lexus GS400 that had overspray paint/stucco on it. Was a sad sight, but now I use it as a show/demo piece.

Same thing happened to my wife's car. Sorry to say you're going to have to clay.

It's not too big of a job though...about 1-2hrs depending on experience, damage level, and car size. Go for it and it'll look 150% better!

I had my car repainted last year. and there was some over spray, incedently i just had my car in the shop last week getting the overspray finally taken off.....Cost $501!!!....they had to repaint the spoler too. but i aksed what they did, they use some thing to get the car down to first layer of clearcoat, then use a sealer or something, and buff it out..........
