00 GTS AT Wont Shift to 4th?

For some odd reason, the transmission is sticking in 3rd. It says on the dash that it has shifted to 4th, but still running high rpm's for example i'm on the highway running 4500 rpm at 70 mph. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

try unplugging the negative terminal on your battery for 30+ seconds. just in case the problem is electrical, the system will reset itself. it's worth a shot

How is your fluid level? do you have any CEl for a stuck solenoid? And does it happen only when the car is cold or anytime? 4th- O/D won't engage until trans fluid is warmed up.
