little accident

WOW..... that looks bad! the car seems to have held up ok in the cabin area. How are you and did you have any serious injuries?
Do you know what the total speed between you and the object or car you hit was?

I came out with nothing serious, alot of brusies and a sprained finger, knee, and shoulder. The total spped of my car was about 10 to 20 mph and the other car was at least going 55 mph.
I know that this car saved my life and keept me from getting hurt ever worse.

Honestly, how were the airbags when they deployed? I've heard many horror stories about airbags and particles of dirt flying into people's eyes and injuring them. Just curious to know what to expect if I ever have a "little" accident myself.

Wow I didn't expect to see anything like that when I read "little accident" What happend, did the airbags burn you I have never experienced the new style airbags nor do I plan to, but when I totaled my neon the airbags burned the skin off my right arm, those where the gen 1 airbags I think before they slowed down the speed at which the bags deploy. and wow I am surprised the interior held up so well. the entire dash came forward on my neon and the steering wheel came about 2 inches from crushing me it actually had me pinned in the seat for a couple of seconds.

The ai bags were fine they didn't burn me at all. All I remember is when the air bag deployed my eyes shut then it was all over. The gen 3 air bags are not suppose to burn ar anything like that. But there was some dust that came out but thats it.

The celica is a strong little car to hold like that in a high speed head on. The cabin didn't even get damaged, except the a arms.

As for my next car I put a deposit for a S2000 about a month and a half ago, before I got into an accident. The celica was suppose to be a trade in. now I'm going to use the check insurace gave me for a down payment.
