I own a 2000 celica GTS. I just now found out that the clutch is bad and it only has 40k. the dealer won't replace bcause they claim it is a wear item. I've done nothing to wear on the clutch. I'm not going to say I don't drive fast but that shouldn't effect the clutch. Anyway, I am looking to buy a high preformence clutch and was wondering if anyone might know of a good brand or something I can depend on because I don't want to have to replace it again.. Any advice would be helpful thanx....

dude!!!! same happened here i bought a gts with 35k on it and cluch is bad after 1 month buy an act street clutch and a fidanza flywheel from wctoyotasport.com for flywheel and http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateH.asp?SubFolderID=279&SearchYN=N for the clutch
good luck **** happens man but the money spent is well worth it good modification regardless of new clutch or not many do it without needing a new clutch later man have fun with your new celi!!

I tried that link about a month and a half ago to buy the ACT clutch from those guys and after a few days they called me to say that OOPS its not in stock and we cant get it for a long time. They didnt know how long it would be but they told me ACT couldn't make enough to keep em in stock. Instead I bought the TRD Silver clutch cover and trd disk. It works great but i havent figured out which of the trd ones i have.
