With the AEM intake, some people lose some down low power. But, the Injen intake on the other hand gives you more power down low, don't know how it does in the higher RPM's though.

Other way around, AEM gives more downlow power while Injen gives more high end.

uh...who told you that? i think they lied a little. i've had my car roll backwards on hills when it's floored in the morning. dont know if everyone's is as bad as mine, but it looses hella power down low.

I just installed my Injen short ram yesterday, and one thing me and my friend notice right of way ish the low end power, it was so slow compare to before, but top end ish running lke a bitch.

it's kinda true that u lose a COUPLE of hp down low but it's fully worth getting a INJEN CAI, cuz when u get to 6k...ha....i say spend a couple of $$ extra and get a CAI

i have an AEM CAI........ is there a big difference between the injen? did i waste my money on the AEM or does both intakes make up on the other ends of power, such as injen has more on the high rpm's and aem has more on the low.....

i'd probably stay with AEM. true, the top end power is fun but having more at low end is so much more practical for normal driving. lift gives you plenty up high anyways. i think AEM still gives you a little up high too.

but performance wise..... if i was racing sum other guy, wouldn't the low end power from AEM be useless since launching your car, slipping the clutch etc... staying close to lift would keep u up there in the high rpms where the injen has better advantages? or would the low end of the AEM have an effect on the launch?

isnt it because of heat soak at a stop that makes it slow at low end rpm's?

Actually, its slower down low than the stock air box because the stock air box had the butter fly valve in it. Having a super un-restrictive flowing air intake will make more power up high but is not good for torque. On the stock air box the valve would restrict the air flow a little which would give the car a little more low end torque, then it opens up to flow more and create more HP up high. Really, the butterfly valve was a pretty cool thing that Toyota put on the car and I always wondered why people removed them from their stock air box.

True. If you have an exhaust, there won't be much difference in high end power at all. Check out this dyno:

As you can see, AEM beats Injen through 90% of the dyno, and even at the top, Injen is only 1 or 2 hp better.

wow...never knew there was that much of a difference. i'd probably replace my injen with an AEM if i was gonna keep my car. should've done more research at first...

You got it backwards dummy. Please don't give out bunk advice.

jus wondering but how come i see other dyno charts about injen vs. aem where injen overwhelmes aem the whole powerband?

A little late there, Baldy  The mistake was pointed out by Lynx in the post that immediately followed the erroneous one.
