There is a 1995 Turbo Supra Automatic w/ONLY 16,000 miles on it for $28,000......my question is....how fast would an automatic Turbocharged Supra run?? How is the auto Supra 1/4 mile time compared too a manual? thanks

It doesn't make much difference. A lot of the fastest most consistent Supras are auto. The Manual launches a little harder but the auto can probably catch it by the end of 1st gear. First on those autos is actually a continuously variable gear ratio, its pretty dang fast, especially if you have one of the new 60 foot spool up gizmos.

I'd grab it....just stomp..and mother!#$!%! GO!!!

And yes...they're fast as hell, but you WILL miss the ability to drop a gear and launch like a mofo.

I heard that at one point, some auto Supras were faster than their manual counterparts, just something I heard. I also heard that having an auto on that car isn't that bad since you don't lose boost between shifts. Nevertheless, you could do about anything to that car and it would still be awesome.

my freind jason's 94 TT auto ran a 12.1@127mph with i/e/and down pipe. That's with some bald tires too. I don't care how you look at it, that's fast. And the best part is that in a auto, you can build boost at the line.

no prob man. But i will tell you he regrets getting the auto because it just isn't as fun to drive. The auto is a little faster, but the 6-speed is just a h*ll of a lot more fun to drive. i guess it all depends what you want though. i know that if i ever get a supra, it'll be a 6-speed. i'll sacrifice a couple tenths in the 1/4 for the added fun of the manual. just my .02 though.

I think the stock 1/4 time was about 13.8, with 60 coming in 5.3.

I know there's a guy on the Supra board running 700 hp on an auto.....

It's got a good traction control system as far as maintaining some decent power while keeping driveability. Duh, I guess that would be the definition of a good traction control system, but you get the idea....

oh man. the traction control on my buddies supra sucks! We raced a few times with the TC on, and i whooped his @ss til about 35mph(1st gear), then he screamed by me. Then he turned the TC off, and smoked me off the line. He left the light a little early, but i could tell a HUGE difference in his car. I say that traction control is only good if it's raining or for casual driving.

Stock Auto is faster than stock 6spd cuz auto stays on constant boost.
but if you wanna upgrade it to single or bigger turbos.. 6spd is da bomb!
