I thought up to 5% was legal (at least for the rear windows)?

Or do you mean for your front windows?

Prepare to reap the consequences. HPD has cracked down on illegal tint. If you dont have a "D.O.T." certification sticker on both front windows (which you WONT get if its illegal), you'll get a citation, no questions asked. The judge dont give a fvck what you say, either. No sticker=pay the fine. Dont give them a reason to pull you over.
