Hi everyone.

Has anybody installed a heads-up display (HUD) on a 2000+ Celica to project a digital speedometer? If so, how was the installation of the system?

Thanx.

It wouldn't be that hard to install. FYI, you only have to post in one forum, not every single of them.

Oops, I'm very sorry for the repeats. I'm new to this forum.

Does it mean that I only need to post in one discussion group, and every group gets the message? Or the message is only posted to a specific group?

I was targeting specific discussion groups (the ones that I posted to), since the topic may be irrelevant to other groups.

Anyway, I already got some good responses from another forum. Thanks for anyone who replied to my post.

It's really useless and a eye candy only. I drive my cousin's Maxima with one, don't find it useful.

Yeah, you're right, it's just an eye candy. GM, Jaguar, Porshe, and other manufacturers think the HUD is designed to keep your eyes on the windshield (safety reasons?), but I think your eyes have to focus and re-focus anyway.

For racers, the analog gauges are much more exciting, especially the tach. I just wanted to have something extra on the windshield, like the holographic representation of the speedometer and/or tachometer.

Does your cousin's Maxima have digital or analog speedometer?
