Does anyone get a squeaking noise from the engine bay when in normal idle, but when I slightly step on the clutch, the squeak goes away. I think has to do with something with the clutch pedal system or something like that. Anyone with this problem and fixed it?

I have that same problem, but that is the least of my problems. I've just come to learn that the 6 speed transmission/shifter is a weak piece of cr*p that can't handle the RPM's it was designed for.

you know I had this problem after I put a new clutch put in...shortly after, toyota stuck in a new tranny and the noise went away, it sounds almost like a throw out bearing, but who knows,.....

btw, after toy put in the new tranny, I still had the same tob(thow out bearing) but the squeek went away...not sure

I had the same squeaking noise from my car too. I thought it would go away in time :) but i ended up stranded on the side of the road with my transmission locked up. I was still under warranty and they had to replace the tranny and throw out bearings and some other stuff, but i have no more noises.

Yeah, I have that noise come from my car too. I lubed up the throwout bearing and it went away. After a while though it came back. Toyota said that all GTS make that noise. I would recommend switching out the clutch if it is that much of a problem
