something is wrong with my speedometer

...its wierd. my speedometer would stop working at 35-40 mph. then suddenly it would just jump up to the right mph while im at the freeway. ill be checking it out tommorrow see if anythin is loose. you guys have any suggestions??

i would check it out to make shure nothings loose. do you have after market guages?

well, mine wouldn't work when i first started going. it was because they needles were loose. i just pushed them down real hard a few times, then plugged them back in and let it sit with the key in for a min to calibrate (whether or not it calibrates like some people say it does i don't know, but it doesn't hurt to try).

maybe the needles are rubbing against something? have you ever taken them off, or do you have indiglos?
