I finally hit the 1-2 shift and stayed in vvtl-i!!! I know, I know, a lot of people have done this for a while now, but i'm extra happy that i finally learned how to do it! I thought that i would have to slip the clutch WAYYYYY more than i did, so i never really tried that hard to do it. driving home tonight i said, "F*ck it!" I ran 1st up to 8100-8200 rpm, pushed th clutch down, slipped the clutch a little on the way out, and BAM!!! 6300 rpm!!! A small bog for like, a 1/4 of a second, but still all good. My celica never felt better on the 1-2 shift. D@mn those toyota engineers for making the gears a little too tall. The car felt SO much faster staying in lift! Now that i know how to land the 1-2 shift, a few more cars in my town are gonna have to feel the wrath of the celica!!! I also can't wait to hit the dragstrip and see if that cut a couple tenths off the time. i've landed the 2-3 before, but it isn't as big of a deal as the 1-2! oh well, i'm done blabbering about it. just wanted to say something to someone!
