There is a car on ebay for sale with this hood. It says its a $1,000 dollar hood, so is it custom?

Thats the VIS Invader style hood. Its 550 bucks if i remember correctly.

Hell no it doesn't.

You are thinking of their body kits...they're allright. Their hoods are excellent. I have the OEM style CF hood, and it fits literally better than the original celica hood. I actually put the original hood back on right after i put the CF hood to see if the fit was the same or not, and the CF hood had fewer spaces and everything. I recomend the VIS OEM hood to everyone...now, the invader....i don't know about its quality or fitment, so please someone put up their experience.

vis hoods are great..very thick and fits perfect..550 is a little steep..i can get it for like 425..

i just called VIs racing and they said that that hood is $499 and to ship it to me (in maryland) it would be another $130. Still. that hood looks sweet. i'm thinking about getting it

I dont like the shape that vent makes. It conflicts wiht the factory scoop and the natural lines of the car.

this is what i want to do with my hood, but the shape of the stock hood is kindof tricky, so i was thinking that these vents would work better on the VIS invader style hood. what do you guys think?

I found the VIS body kits to be pretty good quality. They have thick glass and a good soild gel coating, plus they are one peice kits (unlike some places that will sell you a bumber that is formed from several different peices). As for the hood i personally dont have one but have heard some good things about their hoods.

i'm getting a ViS cf hood. i'm being told that if you ask for one of their grade A hoods, you will not be dissappointed. they are only one of a few companies that wrap the cf around the edges and under the hood.

but as for my opionion on the invader style...puke!!!

Can't put the C-One on it. That hood scoop doesn't come off...atleast that's what VIS told me. I was going to get one but the non removable hoodscoop made me change my mind.

It's not Bat's at all. The guy had it painted on. Some of you may remember the car. It was at Carlisle in May.

The problem with that hood is the scoop is not removable. At least thats what the guy at VIS told me on the phone.

i dont think thats a problem. if u want to change the scoop so bad u could have it done custom, but it will cost a lot of money.

i also ordered a vis oem hood, i got mine for $500 out the door. It should come in really soon now. I know that they already shipped it. I will put in my 2 cents when it comes in, but vis makes the best cf hoods for any car. I am also thinking about getting their wing

the scoop is replaceable. If i could figure out how to upload, i'd show you mine. i put the factory scope in place of the CF one that came with the hood. same holes. no problems

i also removed mine without a problem. didnt like the srock white scoop on carbon fiber though.
