Damn, I thought this was going to be a thread about the Chevy Citation.
I'll give you my usual advice.
Get a lawyer.

Well in Vegas... presence at the street race is 1000 dollar... really.. I've seen few tickets you got it...
But usually take to to attorney.. if you know them.. they'll bring it down drastically...
Or.. goto court.. bag the judge... dress formally and comment with formal words and respect them.......
Most of the time they'll be pretty cool about it....
Well.. I have attorney that will represent in court for me and don't charge a dime........ LOL..
I had like 4-5 speeding ticket that was turned into parking ticket and no points.. and no show at court.. just pay the fine and it's all done.... and no traffic school either....(some cases goto traffic school)...
Right now they are processing my reckless/speeding ticket.... this gona be a big one...... LOL..
anyways.. find a good attorney....
I don't think presence at street race will be traffic violation... since you can be there without having a car(license).... so there is no point on the record..... or will there be any insurance involve...

Proffessional Legal Assistance will get you out of most, if not all, "minor" traffic violation.
Normally a friend of a friend's whose a lawyer will do. Just watching a street race is not illegal, not that I know or have heard of. But being present at one will definitely put you out there for heavier scrutiny.
When it's broken up, the police are normally waiting to pull you over for any little thing, case in point:
(In Orlando/Kissimmee area of FL)
The broken up street races sends everyone "fleeing" or leaving.
I am pulled over for my front windshield sticker for being approximately 1.3" larger in length than allowed.
I am ticketed for having this decal go past the allowed legal limit, I am then given a ticket for a noise ordinance law that says my exhaust cannot go over 95db, I am then also ticketed because my passenger did not have her seat belt on. Furthermore, a test is performed on my vehicle to see all the working lights, my left break light has a small crack which has "white" light coming out of it, ever so slightly, this is another broken law I am being ticketed for.
So now, I was not ticketed for participating in the street races, nor was I ticketed for watching. I was ticketed for all of the above because I was profiled as a street racer actively participating in these races and I therefore have no care for the laws of the State and etc etc etc.
This is just an example that I have witnessed. In Orlando when we go down for "La Fievre" (you know what this is if you're from FL)..
Only thing I would do is just sit there parked, light up a cig, turn my car off completely w/o the keys in the ignition.
I'm here contemplating on life, I didn't see any "DO NOT ENTER" signs nor did I see "NO LOITERING", "PRIVATE PROPERTY" or "NO TRESSPASSING" signs, I didn't see them beacuse they weren't there.
I am a Citizen excersizing my rights to be alone in a public area while I talk to my girlfriend in Alaska on my Cell phone.
I have broken no law, now please let me continue with my conversation and I will leave in a few minutes, Officer.

Because you didn't do anything that bad to get something big, so I say don't worry.

I think it pretty much depends on the cop, How much the ticket is going to be. Some can be real **** and some are pretty cool.

so the cop that gave my the citation will be there and will judge my fee's?
cause this is what it said on my ticket.
47.15 LAMC. Viol present at a street race, approx 200 vech present.

Not sure how it works because I have a lawyer too. But what I meant was that some cops make it sound worse then others when they give you a citation. But all can be changed in courts to something more minor of citation like mine's.

Isn't there a number on your ticket which you can call and will give you the fine amount?
