Hello everyone,
Ok, here's the scoop: Not sure if this should be in this forum.
I installed my HS Header this weekend. First of all, it was a major pain in the ass and I recommend doing it with the help of a mechanic.
Second, upon turning the vehicle on, we noticed the header leaks right at the connection of the donut gasket and the exhaust piping. Everything else is fine. We could feel the air leak at the gasket. Now, is this a common problem with the HS headers? We're under suspicion and 99 percent sure that the donut gasket is too big and doesn't fit right.
Now, should I ask HotShot for another gasket? The stock gasket does not fit right either. Can I get a new donut gasket somewhere else? Any ideas and your experience with the headers would be greatly appreciated.
In conclusion, I love the way the header sounds. I can feel a difference in performance. It's slight, but at the higher RPM's it rules. Along with the TWM shifter that I installed, my car feels better overall.
Thanks!
Fin
