I was driving up to the toyota dealer today for a oil change and my cel went off. so when i got there i asked for them to check it out. 2hrs. later they come and tell me its the cai, i should have known better, they say its because i dont have all the plugs and wires in so the computer is reading that there are open sensors. on top of that they charged me freaking $40 b/c it wasnt covered on warranty!!! :bang: also they said it wouldnt pass emissions b/c they would have to do a visuals test. The hell with cleaning the mafs and all that crap these damn cais go off because not everything is plugged in!!!:wtf: alright anger management is over...........:AF:

I know how you feel about going to the dealer, any dealer. Their sheet is too darn expensive. I had to get a new injector this morning and it cost me 162.00 for 1 freakin injector for the 1zz. That about 650.00 for all 4 injectors. I wonder how much for the 2zz?? Denso is good though..........

You modified the engine that problably caused your CEL.
Then you ask the dealer to diognose the problem you caused and you want them to do it for free?

i paid 23,000 for the car i dont think its too much of a pain for them to plug the scanner in and just read the damn code.
umm I have had my cai for about a year and have never had a cel

My advice, do most of the work that needs to be done on your car, yourself! You'll save money and you'll know it's done correctly. Also about codes, etc. invest in a scanner or find your new best friend that has a scanner. :)
