I was browsing around and found many mixed opinions on behalf of oil brands. I personally use royal purple 10w30 on my turbo 2zz. What do you guys use and why is that your choice? Feel free to comment and post opinions!

Some of the Evo's in town use Shell Rotella Full Sythetic. I hear it's made for boosted cars.

Every single fluid in my car is from AMSOIL. Except the wiper fluid. Oh, and the blinker fluid.

I would use GReddy 5W-40 since its specially made for turbo'd cars

Castrol Edge Titanium at walmart 5w30
works fine for $26 5 quarts

look at teh milage of my car and especially at Molybdenum
at 104,930 miles I went from Amsoil 0w30 to Castrol Edge 5w30 and Moly went up
potazium went down compard to Amsoils samples.

I think 2zz like castrol edge and its not as expensive as Amsoil 0w30

Been using Castrol Edge ever since i got my GT-S and it isn't even tubro :headbang:

Hope you're not using good oil with a crappy filter like Fram or something

There is the new Royal Purple HPS you could try, supposed to be really good from what I hear.

My Amsoil oil was clean after 15k miles.

Um I looked at the dipstick....the shop I got it from uses it in all their race cars and highly recommended it. After 15k if was still a clear golden color like it was just changed. Not brown or black.

I use AMSOIL as well and agree with the shop, but I have to be honest and point out that the dipstick is not a good measurement of the oil's durability, although that is impressive.

By that, I mean it's possible for the AMSOIL to come out of the dipstick dark and brown, and still be perfectly fine for another 3,000 miles. It's just the nature of oil.

Yeah I know what you mean its just the appearance. I didn't have it tested but it still looks clean after 20k. The shop says its good for 25k. They say the intervals depend on fuel and apllication. When they use race gas or alcohol ethanol etc they change it after every race.

my car has been boosted now for 70K km's approx 44K miles and using royal purple the whole time.
