so its the summer season (been so for the past month and a half) and im getting back on the boat and wakeboarding but i noticed one problem.... ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS TO PUT MY WAKEBOARD IN MY CELICA! obviously its not TOO much of a problem, just fold the back seats down and your set to go, but what if you have friends? or also very likely, what if you have a sound system (subs and amps and custom enclosures) although i love my celica, i have realized that it's not the best vehicle to put a wakeboard in, so i went online and started looking for wakeboard mounting brackets or something of the similar... alas to no avail
SO what i was thinking was if any of the members here who have access to a machine shop or something like it, could maybe make something like this (obviously not just for me, im sure there are other members here who wake board... or so i hope)

or

if anyone has actually FOUND a mounting kit for the celicas, if you could please let me know of it and what brand/ name it is and where you got it

seriously man. us celica drivers need to not only have a convenient way of transporting our boards, but also a way to make the car look even HOTTER than it already is

Thule makes racks for our car. Just go to their website and you'll find it.

there's nothing sporty about a rack...

I have seen racks for the Alfa Romeo GTV that mounts on the back window, they look kinda sporty, but otherwise a rack will always be boring looking ****.

The Thule one looks easy to mount and take off, so at least you can take it off when you don't need it. I'm buying this one before winter to carry my skies.

If you can get me the dimensions of the mounting location (width, number and spacing of U brackets) and some pictures of what you consider to be "sporty" roof racks, and what y'all feel is a fair price, I will see if we can build one to suit.

I haven't been wakeboarding in like 10 years, but we always just carried ours in the boat, or on the racks on the tower, or in the back of the tow vehicle when trailering.

thats a yakima basket with 18" extensions used for snow board but you could use a wake board. i'm looking to buy a basket for my autocross rims and tires

idk that seems WAY too bulky.im looking for more of a low bar with the board attachment thing from the begining. i guess i can always just but the railings and modify em to need right? saw one end off with a dremel, put a cap on the end, and done?
