Blue Pearl On Carbon Fiber Hood...

Should i put a few coats of blue pearl on my carbon fiber hood, my car is black. How much did it cost some of you guys to put a pearl color on your carbon fiber hood?

i think ud be the first to do it..though Ive seen it before on anothe rcar and it looked bad as hell.. the car was blue and the hood had blue pearl on it.. very nice..

Celica70, I say do it, just don't choose a light blue pearl. It won't reflect well with the black. Maybe a Midnight Pearl would look nice... Keep us posted.

It's all personal preference, I think that anything (within reason) done to your basic CF hood would be an improvement. Sounds like you have a good idea. :)

Look in Jotan 82's thread with his graphics. He has it done. And it does look phat.What's so rice about adding some color to a cf hood? IMO I think it looks better than just a black CF hood.

hmm... didn't jotan or someone do that? my cf hood has blue kelvar in it(blue weave) and i'm not sure it's the best idea... later if you get a cf wing it wouldn't match right, unless you did the pearl coat on it too... i'm pick a darker color if you do plan to do this, like a midnight blue pearl...

I ndo but I'd make a dark blue though like carbon blue;) Or put a pearl flake in of some sort. Theres a whole lot of options you have to make the CF stand out.

get a BLACK PEARL... you wouldn't tell it much, but in the sun your hood will look BLACK, but when you look at it, it'll be CARBON FIBER...

in this pic is the effect of the pearl... in the sun it looks blue.... i say got with BLACK PEARL....
