search function

Is there any real reason why you can only do one seach every 45 seconds (or whatever the time restriction is?) I was trying to search for a user name and it would tell me "not found" within 5 seconds and i'd have to wait to try again. I understand the post restriction, but not the search function.

Repeated searches put a big strain on the server. A group of people (if deviously planned) could stomp on the server if they did rapidfire searchs for very common site words like lets say "car" or "mod". I think the 45 second delay gives the server a break.
