So I read a lot of the turbo FAQ's but i havnt seen anything about rebuilt engines. I recently had a new rebuilt engine put in the car since mine blew up. i have a three year warranty and am going to wait to see if this engine lasts to turbo it. But is a turbo any better worse or even different on a rebuilt engine?

Like anything it all depends, the best suggestion is to ask a few questions, does your car burn oil, have you done a recent compression test? What are your numbers?

It was burning oil and i think thats the original reason it blew up. I havnt done a compression test, can I do that myself? Whats the easiest way to go about finding my numbers and doing a compression test?

You can easily do compression test yourself there's a guide on here for it. If done properly a rebuilt engine should pretty much be the same as a brand new engine. So everything will be the same. But of course "if it was done properly."
