Me and the wife wanna put tires and rims on the celica. Just wanna know if we can go to 17's and if there is gonna be any rubbin?

You're good to go with 17s, you'll put on a thinner tire which compensates for the increased rim size a little.

I've even seen pics of Celicas with 19" rims. The only thing is, now that you're gonna have 17" rims, the car's gonna need to be lowered, or it'll look like it's an SUV. :rolleyes:

i would have to say 17" or 18".. best bet would be 17". thats what i would go with

The identical diameter of the tire is 205/45/17
40 seires is a little smaller, I have 205/45/17's and they look great, also 215/40/17's will work they don't look too bad.

I got 18" (not on my car yet)
if you want better looks, go for 18" with 225/40/18 series tires and you want more performance, then go with 17" 205/40/17 series..
