Does anyone here run an inline filter to the turbo? I'll be running a BB CHRA so the oil requirements for it aren't as high as a non BB anyway and the dP through the filter (Peterson) doesn't look too bad either. Just seeing if anyone had any input.

I never have, but its cheap insurance for the turbo until it gets clogged or restricted.

^ That's what I was thinking. I always checked my Oberg (sits in front of the oil cooler) before and after track days along with all the usual stuff so maintenance wouldn't be a huge issue as long as I put it somewhere sensible. I'd really like to run a remote oil filter too but the dP worries me lol.

We suggest this to anyone that has just rebuilt their motor and has a turbo on the car. Very simple to install and very cost effective. We have seen our fair share of turbos come back Garrett, Turbonetics, BLF, etc due to oil contamination from a fresh motor. I just had a customer rebuild their motor and upgrade from a GT28RS to a GT2871R, he didn't take my advice and run the filter and in 1000 miles he is buying a new turbo. So yeah, cheap insurance!

It isn't something standard in our or any kits, it looks like this and would go in between the oil feed from the block and the oil inlet on the turbo

It's a serviceable filter, just check it when you do your regular oil change.
