...takes a deep breath...

Ahem...dude..do you mind changing the topic of this thread?

And how about just driving A COUPLE of miles over the speed limit..instead of 17.

I think that would eliminate MOST of your problems...not to mention the fact that just because you get a detector..that doesn't mean that you won't get anymore tickets.

Anyways,

The easiest way would be to route it through your console...as you actually remove that pretty easily and have access straight to a power source that way.

As for your "F*CK THE POLICE" statement..maybe you should adjust that too.

We do HAVE cops that drop by every now and again...plus people that are friends with them.

I'd hate for you to give LarryD's hard work a bad name.

Please go drive off a very high enbankment and make sure your seatbelt is not buckled before you go off the road. Thanks.

Why are you even saying something like that? 17 over? Hmmmm. Wait, let me guess. It's all the officer's fault. He came up from behind you and pushed you up to 87. Then he slowed back down to 70, did a double take and acted like he just noticed you, and turned his lights on. Man, that happens so often that people should really start to expect it. Gets 'em every time.

I used to not understand why people with sporty cars hated cops so much. I always thought that those kids were the ones doing things to deserve it but boy was I wrong.

Most Cops are P*ssy a$$ b*tches. good cops are diminishing. They are not here to protect and serve. They are here to make money for the government and play a power trip on your ass!.
guess what happened to me the other day, I was pulled over at around 10:30. I was followed by this cop car who had no business doing that in the first place because I wasn't speeding nor violating any laws.
Pulls me over, saying how I seem lost and sh*t and says he'll cite me for loitering.
I was driving normally to get to my house from work.
can you believe this garbage?
and to top it off, the cop says that it's illegal for me to lower my car.
He got me so pissed off , I screamed at him from the top of my lungs. He then left as he saw I was fed up with his garbage and ready to throw down.
I used to be intimidated by cops but I said f*ck that if they're gonna make silly excuses just to hassle you.

You guys are talking outta your ass.

I personally know ALOT of cops..hell..I work with ALOT of cops.

Half the 446th SFS Reserve Squadron here are cops from practically all over the whole entire state of Washington.

When I was in Sacramento..I knew the CHP's, Sacramento Sheriff's Department...and alotta of other counties..

When I was in Hawaii..I knew everyone from corrections officers to the Honolulu Police Department..

And when I was in Texas...I knew alot of the central Texas counties sheriff's departments.

Hell..what am I saying..I still know them..

Hell..I even help with Sky Marshalls..

I KNOW ALOT OF COPS...and yes..not all of them are the BEST guys you'd wanna hang out with..some are assholes..just like you and me..and you can't tell me we don't have alotta assholes on this board....look at the way you guys talk to each other sometimes, as an example.

Cops are people too...remember that.

BUT...bad cops are cops are just that...bad cops..that are few and far inbetween.

I can honestly sit here and tell you that I've met alot, rode with alot, and know alot of cops..and they're ALL pretty damn good guys...who care and respect the law..and care about YOU..and the people on the roads.

You people just don't get it do you? I can send you HUNDREDS OF STORIES of how good cops have pulled people over in hot rods, imports, what have you...and ended up being shot to death by some punk ass who's afraid of a ticket.

Sure..it may seem like profiling...but hell..who's more common to speed, race, and possibly injure or kill someone else?

A grandma in a corolla..or some dude in a slammed import with mods that are MEANT for racing?

Now..some of these stories sound a bit harsh for a cop..but after having as much experience as I've had with people who've gotten pulled over and given tickets:

There's always two sides to the story....one story..from the guy who got pulled over..and the other from the COP who pulled him over.

What..are you guys gonna admit that you were doing something illegal? Are you gonna say..yeps..I was doing an illegal left hand turn?

Do you guys even realize what you could be written up for? Have you ever looked at a state Vehicle Code?

Did you know..that the vehicle code is not LAW? It's a contract...validated BY YOU..when you recieve and sign your drivers license..

It means you vow to obey the rules and regulations set forth in that vehicle code book.

In other words...if you **** up...that cop has every right to nail you for every single thing in the book if he so desires..

And trust me..there's a helluva lot to write you up for.

I've been given 3 tickets so far since I've been driving..and you know what? Two of them were in my Celica....but you know what...I ****ed up. I made an illegal turn on one...and I was going 15 over the speed limit in the other.

Get real...those cops are here to protect you believe it or not.

You guys make it seem like every cop that pulls you over is a bad guy..well that's utter nonsense.

If you ONLY knew what someone had to go through to become a COP..you wouldn't even think that.

Jeezus.

Well, I am sorry bout the thread name i was just mad. I know i was speeding so was like the other 10 cars around me. I get picked out of the crowd. I know there are nice cops but down here they are rare i only know of 1. I never even been giving a warning always just a ticket. They are on power trips. They think they have the right to speed whenever the want and still our tickets pay their paychecks.

So how do i remove the dash?

I know Im going to regret this but.... Ive had my car over a year now and I have never been pulled over *knock on wood* and I do my share of driving over the speed limit. I dont even have a radar detector. I just consider myself lucky as hell I guess. Also I dont freak out when a cop comes up behind me or is beside me at a light. I do hate when you see a cop come up behind you and hes like 10 mph over the speed limit and you think well he is going somewhere but doesnt have his lights on. Then you see him stop at a stop light so you know he isnt going anywhere that important.

Sorry guys but, when any of you have been hospitalized by a cop, after being draged out of your vehicle for resisting a search without cause (which is your right BTW) at 2:00 am in "bad" neighborhood... you can talk to me about how you had an encounter with a "bad cop". Until then, shut up....

Profiling happens, deal with it. You made the car look like that, expect the extra attention you'll get. I haven't been pulled over for a valid reason yet, thus no tickets so far. As long as you cooperate, all they wanna do is talk, and find out if they need to worry about you... Most of the time anyway.

Obey the law's, and you won't get tickets. Profound statement huh?

I swear some of you guys must enjoy getting speeding tickets. After the 3rd or 4th ticket you never learn. And the amount of money I've seen that some of you guys dish out in unreal.

Another thing. When you get pulled over by a cop and he sees your radar detector sitting on your dash it's an instant ticket. Cops figure that if you have one you are speeding all the time.

Now the next time you get pulled over for anything the best thing to do is keep your mouth shut and play dumb.

I've been pulled over 4 times since I've owned my Celica and that's only been for 5 months. Once for having no front plate. Once for rolling through a stop sign and twice for speeding. The last time was for doing 77 in a 40 on a mile long exit ramp coming off the highway. Hell everyone speeds coming off that ramp and guess who gets pulled over the guy in the sports car.

Did I get a ticket? Nope, haven't gotten a ticket in over 6 years. If you have a clean lisence, mosts cops (at least where I live) will just let you off with a warning unless you are doing some stupid like weaving in and out of traffic, get pulled over by the same cop in the next few days, or start mouthing off. Once you record has been stained it will cost you every time you get pulled over.

Now I don't if you live in a big city or a small town but most small towns make all their money from issueing tickets. So if your driving through a small town at night and a cop is following you set your cruise control to 30 mph and crawl through there. Most often the cop will just get annnoyed with you and pull off and turn around.

The worst thing is your insurance will go up. You ever wonder why insurance companies always donate radar equipment to the police?

And remember all sports cars are cop magnets.

Mike

celenium

no not necessarily. In big cities like New Your, L.A. cops are bound to get corrupted.
If u do even a tiny bit wrong they will get you. Compare for instance, parking ticket enforcers.
In big cities, they are like cockroaches, giving the most posible tickets they could.
But in small cities they might be more lenient.
So I understand why, people in bigger cities complain about cops being jerk it's because most of them are. The rookies tend to be nicer but as their job becomes routine, they lose focus of the reason they became a cop.

Actually...

You've got it backwards..

Rookies are notorious for being big on the lawbook, and writing you down without a second thought.

The veterans are the ones that slow down, and relax.

They know what's up...where a rookie will go spaztic becuase they just got outta the academy and are power crazy.

F**k cops. Most of the ones that I have run into are assholes. I will take a ticket if I am speeding but they just add insult to injury. They harrass people all the time and get away with it. Most cops just treat people like ****. Just recently a cop told me and few other celica owner to leave a parking lot because someone made a false complaint. They told use to get real muscle cars instead of the vacuumm cleaner we we're driving. Me and a lot of people hate cops. Its not because of stupid traffic tickets but because of harrassment, insults, & using their position to do wrong. F**k cops.

Did you know..that the vehicle code is not LAW? It's a contract...validated BY YOU..when you recieve and sign your drivers license.."

So what you're saying is that if I don't ever get a permit/license, I can't get a ticket because I didn't "agree to follow the rules of the contract" If this was true I would have never gotten my license. The only thing I could be cited for would be diving without a lisence; correct?

When I was 14, I got pulled over for doing 30 in a 25 and rolling a stop sign, as well as driving without a lisence...came to like $400.

They are laws, not contract sections.

I'm really sorry that youre not allowed to drive around at 90 MPH. I wonder what it is about the police... cant they get it through their heads that you "cant slow down"? Maybe you should get a radar detector / jammer and a scanner so you can avoid the law, rather than FOLLOWING IT.

haha Yes F*ck the police inspired this thread. The NWA version is good but listen to the Bone Thugs one espicially if you have a system in your car. Its the best one.

As for Cops Let me say to whoever is defending them:
ArchAngel: I know you know/work with alot of cops. Well This thread is inspired by my personal experiences. This is for the cops in Palm Coast/ Daytona Beach Florida Do you know any of them. If you dont then you information is useless to me. I know some good cops but the majority have done nothing for me. I've have called them b4 because of stuff. They dont care & they are just worried about teenagers more then terrorists. But I am not speaking for them all and this thread is mostly agreeing with me and how cops act towards us (profiling us)
And you said we dont know what it takes to become a cop. Around me they are putting cops on the street who are still in adacemy so technicially they are not even real cops yet. And this is not rumor a cop who was a friend told me.

Nerf Herder: Like you never broke the law. So dont tell me that because i dont need to hear it.

Robles: Just shut up with you stupid ass. I dont care what you think of cops and it doesnt matter just wait till your pulled over one day and get a nasty cop. You will agree with us Just wait.

Iverson: I am taking your advice

Everyone Else: F*ck the police coming straight from the underground <IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm20.gif" border=0>

I used to be a police officer for 5 years before that I used to work for UC Riverside police dept during college as a student CSO (campus service officer)

Going into it I thought like most of you guys that the symbol/ purpose of a police officer was to uphold the law(protect it's citizens and serve them) well it's not cut and dry like that.
At first I tried to do things in the name of justice. Sometimes I was worried about people's safety first. Gave people warnings instead of citations for minor things but I was pressured and my superiors kept chewing me out saying that it seemed I wasn't doing my job because I didn't give out millions of tickets like the other guys.
soon I saw myself lurking at every opportunity to write citations.
comrades at the riverside force would give each other pep talks of how to maximize issuance of tickets. It was to go after kids who drive imports. The ricier the better. follow them around and know where they ride they're bound to slip one way or another.
I transfered to other cities to get away from this hypocrisy but it got worse in bigger cities.
There are 10% of officers that do right but even these people are impugned so severly instead of being praised by the dept that they just do as they are told.
So I quit.

Cops usually only get nasty if you show any form of disrespect ... I'm quite sure I've been pulled over many times more than you. That is how I ended up without a license. I didnt b*tch and whine about it like you though. I accepted the cosequences for my actions ... you know, responsibility. It's all part of growing up and becoming a man ... you will soon understand my words grasshopper.

Don't cops have to make a quota on tickets? If thats true, then that alone proves that cops have to give out tickets like mad. That really pisses me off..my dad knows a couple of cops and he gotten out of a couple of tickets but i have NOT!

Ive gotten 2 tickets in my celica..both speeding...the first ticket the cop was asleep cuz when i passed him i saw clearly like he jumped in his seat after napping....fack that.

Robles:

You still dont know what you are talking about. I am polite to the police officers i wont get nasty. I turn off the engine put the keys on the dash and open my window and wait. Why is it when someone gets a speeding ticket the first thing they do is post a message an whine about it? And then they get pissed when they get flamed.

If you get a speeding ticket either pay it or take it to court and fight it.

Everyone drives over the speed limit. Damn you ever been on a 30mph road at 2:00am alone. It's impossible to drive the limit without feeling like you are crawling. It sucks. You can either deal with it or take your chances.

What's worse is that after you have a bunch of tickets on your record. The next time a cop pulls you over for speeding and runs your license your probably getting another one.

I agree most cops can be a bunch of pricks. So unless you want to keep paying the state more money you better learn how to play the game.

Having seen a documentary on speed traps (on TLC, IIRC), I have come to the conclusion that traffic cops do not have society's interests in mind when they issue citations; it's actually the state's.

Policy has mandated that a state should earn no more than 25% of its income through fines and other lvies placed on a state's drivers, but in some towns, it's not uncommon for them to collect in excess of 30%. I live in one of two states that are notorious for speed traps, the other being Florida. I work in an area that has 'no right turn on red' signs at almost every intersection, even if traffic flow would dictate otherwise. It's also the same area where I received my first speeding ticket, which is hardly coincidental. I went to court to contest it (I hired a lawyer); reduced to a non-moving violation, but was $500 out when all was said and done.

It has long been proven that traffic laws are not in place for the safety of its residents or those who are just passing through; it's about filling the government's coffers. Whether the road speeds are underposted or an unnecessary traffic sign is posted which hinders traffic flow, they're all done with the intent of capturing and penalizing offenders, even if they weren't aware that one had been committed.

I do think that cops are a necessary evil, particularly when drunks or reckless drivers are involved, but to unfairly penalize someone for the car they drive (because they seem to fit a certain 'profile') or singling them out when they were keeping pace with traffic, there is no reasonable or legitimate excuse for this. I think we can all agree that their time would be better served on pursuing true crimes, instead of the driver who was 5 miles over the posted limit.

I wouldn't say f*uck ALL police. Just the one's that are a$$holes..I have encountered good cops and bad in all types of neighborhoods. And it's true what they say about cops in bad neighborhoods. They are the worse! If you haven't read all the post on this topic you should read RED LUCIFER's..It's proof that a lot of cops are a s s holes..It's just their job to protect the department and harass the public. I made my car look the way it is because that's what i like. I'm not complaining about cops, just giving my opinion on a lot of them.
Oh and i used to live in Antelope, CA..It's north of Sacramento. I went to Center Highschool and yeah a lot of the cops in that area are PRICKS! My neighbor 3 houses down was a cop..He was a good guy, but an a$$ when he was on the job. They are there to give tickets and make money for the city. Plain and simple.
The people that are saying FACK the police, you have every right to cause im sure you have experienced some scandelous shiet..
Those protecting the cops, that's cool too, I know good cops, but don't criticize someone because of their experiences. You weren't in their shoes and probably never will be because YOU guys don't break the law.

Good, keep doing it. If they are gonna screw you over for being polite, you can only imagine what they will do if you're not. If you look at your Title it says it all. There are bad cops, denying it is being ignorant, but stereotyping them all because of the few bad cops is even more ignorant. I have one friend cop, he's cool. But thas not really relevant.

Next time, take the correct approach, http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smile.gif

Well First let me explain the Thread name. F*ck the Police is a song. IMO its a cool song yes its stereotyping all cops but come on you guys need to loosen up its just a phrase. Besides i was pissed too if i could change the thread name i would have done so already. I guess if you are unfamiliar with the song you would take it more seriously but all i can say is loosen up =]

PBI Cell: Those are words of truth

CarbonBlue: I accept the ticket i just hate being profiled by cops. I was like out of a group of like 6 cars. Thats what irritates me. But someone gotta take the fall so they pick me cuz of profiling.

Nobrakes: what doc. was that?

After all this Who knows how to take the dash so i can hide a radar dectector wire back there. Peeps had the radar dectectot mounted on the far left of the dash and hid the wire there. Has anyone done this if so help would be apprecaited

Most of you dont understand why we have laws...do you? It is so that we can serve and protect. Not to let law breaker do whatever they want...Anything over 5 mph the speed limit will usually get you a ticket. But 17 mph over..you cant blame the cop for giving you a ticket. You got lucky, here in IA if you go 20 mph over you lose your license for 90 days. Cars dont cause accidents, people do. It's all aobut what experiences you've had. I like cops. They are friendly when I just talk to them on the street. I talk to anyone basically, but

I do get annoyed that when I got a ticket, 47 in a 30, he marked it down as 47 in a 25 and tried to get away w/ it. THey were putting up a 25 mph zone the next day but didn't put it up yet and he tried to get away w/ it, but I got pictures and a document from the city that said taht. So I got my ticket knocked down.

I like following cops along hte highway, state troopers. They usually are going 90, so I pull behind them and just follow them so I dont' get traffic. Anyway, I think it's all about what you are doing wrong, and yes, I do think there is profiling. I know cops will follow me because of my car. That's when I just pull over and let them go by.

11-08-2001, 02:52 PM
A cop has never really helped me from my experiences. I couldn't even get my school cop to write me a report about my car getting keyed but he would have no problem giving me a ticket for anything. I have had cops harrass my passengers for no apparent reason and I was stopped for speeding not them. I have had cops search me for no reason. I had cops pull me over then peel out when they are done yelling at us. Cops pulled guns on me and my friends because my friend had a pocket knife in the glovebox and pretty much every girl i know gets out of 30-40+ mpp speeding tickets. Its just not right I'm sorry but if you think i should respect my countys police dept. I'm sorry but respect has to be earned.

Marc

PS: Ghettomarine its a name I always used when i played pc games online. IE Starcraft i had a marine that had like 300 kills and if u watch the Broodwars intro there is like this ghetto marine like chillen to music so I have always used that name and i'm used to it. hehe Bout time someone asked =]

I just got a ticket on Saturday. State Trooper got me I was doing 91 on a 55. No sweat off my back, I know I was speeding and didn't mind getting the ticket. I was in my IS300 btw. Only thing that bugs me is that I was just following the speed of traffic. I feel that speeding tickets is just a bunch of BS why can't they just make the expressways like the AutoBahn in Germany, so they can do something else with their time and bust some damn thieves.

Driving? 80. Once. At that point I decided the risks outweighed the fun factor. As a passenger, however, I'll just say that an S2000 is a hoot to ride in top down at 100+. Not as exciting, however, is a Dodge Avenger at 100+ (almost frightening actually <IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm31.gif" border=0>). Somewere in the middle lies an NSX at 95.

I think the fastest i have ever drove was 160 in a 91 Mercedes-Benz 300se, but that was pretty scary =/ As a passenger it would be the richard petty challenge at Daytona. I think it is a shame that the actions of some cops causes people to look at all cops as bad. At the same time though cops look at Kids, people that drive sporty cars, SKATEBOARDERS, and others badly because of the actions of some of them. So I have no sympathy. When I was in high school I used to skateboard and we got harassed by the cops all the damn time. We even got permission to skate at a couple places from the owners and the cops would come threaten to arrest us and give us a hard time. All my friends and I were always polite and they still ****ed with us. I think there was one cop that was not a jerk. He would tell us to leave and be careful not to skate at certain places. Then the ultimate dammage to my opinion of cops was done on our way home from spring break last year. There were four of us in two cars. The friend that I was riding with and I were riding along through Dothan Alabama when we saw a cop car on the side of the road. As we passed he pulled out behind us. He then pulled up next to us craned his neck to look over at us to see that we were kids, got back behind us and pulled us over. He said my friend was swerving (which was Bull****) and asked us if we had been drinking. We hadn't been all day so we relaxed a little. As my friend opened the glove box to get the insurance card(we were in his moms car by the way) the cop was leaning in the window looking around and looking in the glove box. He saw a pocket nife, reached in and grabbed it and started moving stuff around in the glove box. He pulled out a spoon that my friends mom had left in there(does sound weird but its just a damn spoon). He asked what it was for and accused us of having drugs. He told my friend to step out of the car, and moments later pulled me out, cuffed me and put me into the police car. Then a car with a police dog arrived obviously from not too far away, and they begun taring the car apart and going through all our bags. Anyway..... sorry for going on, but the details are important. In the end they harassed the hell out of us, didn't find a damn thing in the car. Scared the hell out of us and then let us go because we had nothing. I later visited their website and was enraged to see them boasing in bold letters across the top of the screen "thanks to all the drug dealers for paying our bills" or something close to that. So.....ticket deserved or not it is not hard to see why people could hate cops. I am verry uncomfortable around any cops now.

yeah... i have mixed feelings towards cops

i have gotten four ticket in my celica since march '00 - (2) speeding , tinted license plate cover , and running a stop sign

some were ligit and once i saw the cop coming after me (without his lights on) i pulled over anyway - i knew i was busted

but then there are those asshole cops that i hate !!!

like about a week ago.....

i had my mom with me and we were going out to lunch for a lil' time together (don't getta see mother that much) and what happens...

i get followed by a city cop for almost 10 min. as we were going to eat and the cop even decided to follow us into the parking lot and turns on his red and blues

he approached the car on my side and started giving me this line of "as i was following you you were accelerating excessivly - bolting from intersections" luckily i had my mom with me cuz she went ballistic on the prick !!

we (mom & i) know that i was not bolting from intersections especially since we both knew that the cop was behind us and i was even proving how much af assholes the cops in our town are

i think that since my mom was with me he had a second judgement because if she wasn't - he 95% probably would've givin me a rediculous ticket for that

i know this because he was the same officer prick that pulled me over and wrote me a ticket for having illegal headlights -not bulbs- he was inclined to say that the projection headlights on my car were not stock and i had them put on aftermarket.

i took that **** to court and had it dropped, but still had to pay a $50 court fee and took up 3 days of my time all together over 2 months

thats why i agree with F*cK the police !!

but if i know that i did something wrong - like speeding i will not try to weezle out of it

i mind my p's and q's but i hate the ****ers that are all inclined to write out tickets for stupid ****

And I know all about Center High School....you've got TONS of ****ing racer wanna be's over in that freaking area..hell..I've been on a COUPLE of ride-alongs..and I can see why they were ****s in that area... Hell..that area is one of the worst IN Sacramento...North Highlands ring a Bell?

Hell...that area has one of the HIGHEST murder rates in the country..friggin over 162%...and the rape rate is just as high along with some other problems.

It's no freakin' wonder those cops are ****s..hell.

And that's where I got my two tickets at...guess what?

Whoever said that RIGHT thing or whatever.

I'm a Combat Arms Instructor for the US Air Force and I reguraly deal with the police...whether it's through class instruction, range usage, or through the reservists that we train.

Hell..I just got finished with Night Fire CQB training with a Seattle PD patrol officer.

And let me tell you..he's one cool guy.

I used to help with the CHP Academy down in California..they used our range on a regular basis along with the SSD...hell...I got a coffee mug staring right at me right now that says...Sacramento Sheriff's Department.

In Hawaii, half the people that worked with us were Honolulu PD, or corrections officers, plus we reguraly have annual Police Week Pistol Competitions where every police department in the state attend.

If you're wondering HOW I know so many cops..why don't you sit back and think about it a second.

EVERY COP has to do Marksmanship training at some point in the MONTH...and when they do..I get to meet them.

I know people from the California EPA agency..I know a helluva lotta people.

Not to mention..I work with alot of reservists that are LE officers on their regular job.

I've got retirees that I call friends that are former CHP officers, too...

Dude, how many phone numbers you want? I've got a whole rolodex to go through...

So...take that R.I.G.H.T....and do a breech load for me, will ya?

OK, I'll have to chime in here. I can sympathesize with those who have taken on the "Eff the police" attitude, because I have been profiled and harassed myself.

Irvine Police, IMHO, are the worst when it comes to profiling and stopping people for the most trivial of infractions. Many times I have been followed and paced by Irvine Police. I have friends who were pulled over for some of the most ridiculous things (I remember posting a thread about it in OT).

Now for my experiences (my original home town, not Irvine):
I was stopped for a burnt out license plate bulb (really now, how often do you check for that anyway). Okay, so I understand it's PC (probable cause) for a stop. Before I was stopped I passed by a police cruiser stopped at an intersection. It was 1:30AM on a Friday night, and no traffic. Speed limit was 45 and I was doing about 40, anticipating the police car would follow me. Sure enough, it did. As a matter of fact the cop floored it to catch up to me. I was then signaled (with the overheads, parking light strobes, mirror housing strobes, siren, and the whole nine yards) to pull over. The first thing the officer said to me when she came up to my car was "PUT YOUR HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL NOW!!!" Then she asked for my license and reg and insurance. I asked what I was stopped for and she told me that my license plate light was out. "Oh, and I paced you going 55 in a 45." That was a complete lie and I knew it. I argued that I saw her floor it, so there would be no way for her to accurately judge my speed. I was then harassed about why I was out (I was 21 at the time)and why my reg had a post office box instead of a street address.

On top of all that, I was asked to have my car searched. Another officer showed up.

Now, I know I could have told her "NO," but common sense would say that NO = you're hiding something. So your car is searched either way so you might was well let them.

After all was said and done I was cited for the license plate bulb - not even a fix it ticket.

I filed a complaint against the officer for the profile, her attitude, and the uncalled-for search. I never back-talked the officer except to contest her accusal of me speeding (which I never got cited for in the end), yet was treated like a piece of dirt.

They DO profile you based on what you drive, who you are, the time and place...and yes, sports cars WILL attract more attention.

cops are bastards, all they're trying to do is screw people over with their power trip. Two weeks ago, i was going 75 in a 55 zone. I know i was speeding, and I admit it. I got pulled over and he claimed I was racing, because my friend was following me, and probably because we both had sports cars. Then he calls me an idiot and snatches my liscense out of my hand and slaps me with a ticket for 90mph with no proof of it. I even tried to reason with him and told him, I know I was wrong and I was speeding, but at 75 and not 90. And he tells me, I don't care, you're driving like an idiot. Either he was racist, because we're both asian, or he was just a prick, out to get everyone. Oh, and by the way, this was the end of the month. I dunno, but those quota's are bullsh*t

Guess what happened to me few days ago?
I was going home doing 40 in either a 45 zone or a 35 zone and I see a cop car on my tail. I happened to be taking my mom home and I was driving the car like a chouffer.
Surely enough he pulls next to me and flashes inside my car giving us the most disrepecting look I ever saw. I was like "What the F*ck u asswipe." He then pulls me over procedes to write me a ticket for wreckelss endangerment and puts down 40 in a 45 zone. Lucily my mom was there to chew the hell out of this dude. He got so embarassed he just took off. Next day, my mom went to the department to file a complaint.

Hey listen, kiss my ass ok. I dont care what you have to say. I got a ticket out of 6 other cars doing the same speed. And look at all these accounts of f*cked up cops. Dont tell me there is nothing wrong with the cops either. So shut up and get out of thread.

To complain about profiling is rediculous. The only reason why profiling happens is because cops know us to be higher risk to do something stupid. If I was a cop, I'd do it too.

For instance, youre a cop working a speed trap. Some soccer mom drives by doing 75 in a 55 in her minivan. As she goes by she hits the brakes, because she sees the trap. Now a sports car flies by doing 75 also, except the kid driving is wearing a gold chain and an Abercrombie visor. He also gets on the brakes as he goes by. Now which one of these two do you think is more likely, if let go, to get over the next rise and stomp on the gas again? To say to themselves, "Hey I just blew by that cop and he didnt even care"?

I'm not saying its cool, **** I drive a Celica too you know. But to say cops are wrong for profiling sports car drivers as "high risk" is silly. Hell take a look in the racing stories forum if you want to know why we are profiled (and why we pay through the nose for insurance)

You don't get any worst then me:

My first time, cop said I ran a stop sign, I DIDN'T. When I went through the stop sign, the cop was a good 5 cars before the stop sign on my left side. All the cars were parked 45 degress(*street was pack with parked cars*), plus their was a big office building on the corner. Cop must of had x-ray vision to see through building and cars or something. Anyway, went to court, he lied his ass off, I lost.

Second time, me and a friend was harass, then each was given a $275 ticket for stopping in a handicap zone at a Safeway super market near a beach (1030pm, cold, only a few cars at Safeway). Gave us a bunch of crap, saying we were Loitering, how he was sick of "OUR KIND" coming down messing up the neghiborhood and a bunch of other "RACIST" remark. Jesus christ, I just got there less then 5 mins plus my engnine was even turn off, my gf had just ran in to get quickly to get a few things.

Luckily for me, I got off, had a very understanding judge. Told him I just got there and that my gf had just ran into get a few things very quicky, told him I didn't even turn off my egine. Plus I told him of how I was harass and how I felt the officer was a racist and prejudice against "MY KIND". He dismiss my ticket<IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm4.gif" border=0> Can't say the same for my friend though<IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm14.gif" border=0>.

Yeah, I shouldn't of stop there but the lot was near empty and there was almost no one shopping. Oh well, that cop and his parter are a waste of tax payers money. Some old lady could of been rob or a crime commited just a block away or even worst, maybe a women was being gang raped or something while these 2 harass us over a space. Oh well, I'm pretty sure many of us have some sort of stories of cops harssing us over little things.

cbr600drm...

Can you freaking read...I wasn't posting that message for your illiterate azz...

Whoever said that RIGHT thing or whatever.

Try reading a little better..the punctuation might be off..but if you had half a brain in that nugget you call your head...you would have gotten the point.

I don't kiss anyone's ass..I'm just friends with alotta cops..that's all.

There's bad cops and there's good cops and it totally depends on where you live, and what your general experiences has been...BUT...to sit there and literally bust a law...get pulled over..and then whine about it's unfair that a cop pulled you over is stupid.

Not to mention, considering every Cop to be a **** just because you had a bad experience with one..is utter bull.

I don't consider every person I meet to be an asshole...just because you're one, now do I?

See? Point proven.

How about you try moving to a place that DOESN'T HAVE COPS...or worse..some place that HAS EXTREMELY CORRUPT COPS..

Like the fuggin' philipines(no offense, my wife is filipino and I'm part-flip)...

The police system down there is so damn corrupt..you'd LOVE to be back in the good ol' US of A, getting pulled over for something stupid...

I got a ticket out of 6 other cars doing the same speed.

What..do you think he can pull over all 6 OF YOU? There's only one cop...just because 6 other people are speeding...doesn't make YOU right!

The cop just happend to pick your unlucky number. Hell..I've had cops pull people over instead of me before..just because he couldn't get us both. Get over it..that shiat happens all the time.

Oh..and one more thing...cbr600drm...you can kiss my azz!

You flamin' newbie.

And profiling is an UN-PC fact of life..deal with it.

Dang..

I think you got me there..

Damn Logic...why in the hell do I always have to deal with it.

Forget it bud..I know there's some bad cops out there...and some bad punks too...but they're not all bad cops..and we're not all bad punks.

Good luck getting that ticket dropped, bud.

Archangelpudx......You apparently don't get it. Nobody who is reading this thread wants to hear from your dumb ass! So shut the hell up about how manny cops you know, and how much smarter you are than everyone else. Like I said before start your own thread titled "I enjoy bending over for cops!" or whatever you want and quit wasting your time and ours for having to read the long winded crap that you are writing.

Well, I already paid the ticket. I heard if you over pay the ticket and they send you a refund check and do not cash it in that the points will not be applied. Can anyone verify this?
