The new models are introduced every four/five years, so 2004 (2005 model) sounds about right...

It will never be AWD or have a factory Turbo. The GTS is not selling as is. Most people but the Auto GT cause it looks fast.

Althogh I agree with you, it would not happen. AWD and turbo would raise the price. Most people want cheap fast looking cars not expensive fast cars.

they could do it, but it would require a major rehaul in manufacturing. the old celica GT4 and the WRX are only a few grand higher in price. they could always just copy the current chassis onto the old platform. but then they'd need assembly line processes for two totally different celicas.

I don't know, the Celica it's a great machine at a good price with only LIFT out of the factory. If they make it TURBO or AWD the price of the car could skyrocket.

Someone posted what they said could be the "new" Celica. And to me it looks like it could be RWD, just because of how it looked in the shape of it's rear end. They would or could be a step in the right direction, I liked my 85' Celica and it was RWD

Why would Toyota make a RWD Celica when they already have the MR-S and a new line of Supras comming out in 2004?

I was just in a day dream on that because Nissan still has the 240sx or Siliva whatever you want to call it and it would be nice the have a Toyota drift car that doesn't cost 40,000 plus. But then again, Toyota doesn't have the SR20DET in their corner:bowdown:
fellas, i'm really trying to find out abt the new celica. anyone got pics of it to show?

However...don't you think that to compete with the V6 Eclipse, S2000, the new Tiburon(as if there is a threat to us there!:-)...and the WRX, Toyota will have to boost power somehow! My first suspision was Turbo, but now i think a V^ would be more likely in the near future.
yes/no?
