4 pins in cf hood?

i was wondering if anyone had put 4 pins in there carbon fiber hood and just got rid of the latch? If so please post some pics of hood and engine bay because i dont know where to put the pins in the back. (where to screw them into metal or if you had to make brackets)

i think u would only Need two. Why would u want to lose the Latch. Make it even safer with it on it. 2 pins and the latch is good enough

what i wanted to do was make it so i could undo 4 pins and the hood would just lift off like the real racing hoods.

hes talking about replacing the hinge in the back....so when u undo all the hood pins the entire hood can be lifted off and taken where u want it.

Dosent sound very stable. Plus someone could steal it easily, can you image coming out to your parked car and its missing the hood??? :rofl:

personally i dont have the latch and i only use 2 pins in the front. unless your really racing your car then there is no reason to do a mod to look like the "real" race cars. a friend did that to his GTI and all it did was cause head aches.

I don't think its a practical mod for a street driven car.
Too easy for someone to steal it as mentioned before.
