And what's the HP?

And isnt the sudden jolt of power when the car launches (i assume) rough on your dyno?

One of the connectors on the battery fried before we could do another run. It's only used to 10 second blasts not back to back runs, so it overheated. He is fixing it and will be back!

And what's the HP?

Maybe, but it's not every day you get a car like this on your DYNO!

good thing about high power electric cars, the power is readily available

He ran a 9.92 1/4 in the 1/4 mile simulation. We didn't get to HP & TQ. The batteries aren't meant for back to back runs they are set up for 10 sec full throttle bursts, so on the 2nd run a battery connector fried and the fun was over. The motors in the car are rated at 2000Ft Lbs! So we were hoping to see something close to that.

HP?

Yeah, 100% torque at GO

That's why Hybrid Camry's always come in for new front tires. The women can't just ease on the gas, so they spin a little.

jalopnik says it's putting down 2000ft/lbs of torque, due to a thread on nasioc where they got numbers for the run and maybe more inforomation...

Yeah, that's just some bystander in the shop who took a mobile video. He didn't know much about the car. Just that the owner said the motors are capable of 2000 Ft Lbs. So he wrote that.

Yeah, I had been working with the owner of the car for 6 months to get the car in and on the DYNO because it was such a unique thing and then some punk posts the video before us and talks garbage! Gotta love the internet! LOL :)

Its funny how quiet it is. Plus its nice that you don't have to worry about having the door open for the exhaust.

For those asking about HP, electric motors tend to get low HP ratings because they loose efficiency at higher RPMs. That being said, they usually make godawful big gobs of torque down low so they are usually considerably faster than the HP ratings would suggest.
