I just had place called DSS try to put in my JVC head unit but they they couldn't because it wasnt compatible with the factory amp, but I am going to sell that one and buy one of the new Sony's with the slide out tray does anybody know if that would be compatible with the factory amp. Has anyone else ever had trouble with the compatibility of installing an aftermarket head unit?

Ditch the factory amp. It will sound like crap with an aftermarket HU. Get a HU that pushes out some decent power if you do not want to get an amp.
