I'm about to pick up some filters, oil drain plug gaskets, a service manual, and other misc parts from Steve @ Carson Toyota. I was wondering if anyone wanted to pick some stuff up too while I'm @ it. So if you change your own oil and wanted some stuff this we would be perfect. Let me know ASAP since I'll probably get it soon. Steve's the best, fast, friendly, and he uses USPS Priority Mail! Woohoo! He's helped me out many times before!

Still waiting on the price for the service manual but here's what he quoted me so far:

"OIl filters individually-$4.10
OIl filters case-$3.69 x10

Washers-$0.82
10 or more $0.68"

Good thing is they don't overcharge on shipping. The use priority mail or 1rst class mail (to save on shipping) and charges end up being almost exactly what it cost them give or take a dollar or so.

They're prices for the 1ZZ-FE filters. So they'll fit both MR2/Celica GT. I can ask him for prices on some Celica GTS filters. It should be pretty cheap also.

As far as shipping goes, it depends if we all jump in together. But they're really great for us Hawaii peeps. I've ordered my TRD Member Braces from them, a J-Spec nose badge, and some bolts and every time shipping was reasonable.

I'm still waiting for his response. I know Steve's a busy man. I had a headache originally trying to contact this guy. I now just use e-mail. :-P

I'll post back with prices on the 2ZZ-GE filters when he replies :)

hey mitch do you think you could also get some random parts for my car? after taking it apart here and there some parts broke like the clips that hold the plastic on the bottom of the car on and the clips that hold the door panel to the door. Well not exactly a clip but the things that goes on the top of the screw that screws into the door. you know what I mean right? you took off the door to your car before. Well yea if you can get them that would be kool

Steve can get any toyota parts at good prices. If you don't happen to know the part numbers off hand (heh!) then you could ask. Or you could just go down to Motor Imports and ask about the parts, write down the number, and say nevermind.

Just wondering, but I wasn't the cause of the broken parts was I? I'd imagine it was John getting frustrated while installing your speakers. :gap:

But I think I know what you mean. You're talking about the white plastic friction fitings that pop in and out. I'm sure they'd only cost a couple cents. Hell, get a bunch and throw the extras at John for losing them!

FYI, if Steve doesn't respond to me by Sunday, I'm just going to call Monday morning. It just means I need to get my tired a** up at 7am. Ugh! Oh the agony!

Well it seems like my e-mail wasn't working and that's why he didn't respond. For the Celica GTS filters he said they're priced as:

oil filters-$4.09 individual
box 12-$3.69 each

Strangely they're cheaper by $0.01 than the 1ZZ-FE filters! Ok well, if you guys want let me know. I'm actually going to ask if he can ship USPS 1rst class mail. It's slow, but cheapppppppp!
