No offense or anything so please don't take this so seriously
Why spend some much? lucky him, but are you paying him to be with you or something???? :D
Cuz if you love him, then you love him. and he should know, there is no need to spend that much money just to show him that. If he really loves you, then he won't mind even if you don't get him anything.
I'm not sure about your bf, but for me, I don't accept anything from my gf thats more then $50. Beasue I can afford the stuff that i need and there is no point to have my gf to use her money buying things I want. Also a relationship is not base on money and stuff you ger for each other.:)

So far there is no supercharger for the GTS. There is a turbo by XS engineering in CA but that'll put you at $6K.
Performance mods:
Intake (cold air or short) $200-250
Exhaust $400-650
Suspension (depends on what he wants to do)
Strut braces (front/rear) $150-350
Appearance mods:
there are lots of people who have bought the hood scoop that can fill you in.
With at least $1K you could get a bodykit... getting it painted is another deal.

but seriously, to answer your question, a hoodscoop costs $175 painted. Why not get him:
Package one:some 18" rims with tires
Package two: or carbon fiber hood, new hoodscoop, and Rod Millen Carbon Fiber wing
Package three: a Alpine, Eclipse, or Clarion in dash Head/sceen unit w/ in dash DVD player
Package four: TRD clutch, TRD LSD, and Tom's flywheel
All these packages range from about $1000-$2000
hope this helps

Yeah, I recommend getting him an LSD and upgraded clutch. That should bring you right around the amount you want to spend... and yes.. I'll take a single friend too please :D

If you want to spend that much money you might want to find out what kind of rims he wants. You can get rims and tires for about that much. It all depends on what kind though. It would probably be the easiest thing to get too.

In my opinion, with that kind of budget, get him a *real* gift.
A supercharger is nothing, it's something to brag to his friends about. With a great woman at his side, a man doesn't need toys to boost his ego.
Get him a weekend school at the nearest driving acadamy. I don't know where you are located, but Bob Bonderaunt's school of high performance driving comes to mind (arizona I believe), so does the Derek Daily driving school (Vegas I believe, nice wedding/honeymoon package, hint, hint). Out east, there are the Panoz schools, and a few others.
Do a search on the net for "High Performance Driving School" and see what comes up in your area.
A gift like that will probably change his life if he is into cars. A supercharger will be gone with yesterday's bread when something better comes along.
Why not learn to drive what you have, and gain focus about the things you really want, rather than just buy the latest toy in an artificial search for happiness. Is he happier *driving* the car or just looking at it?

Any of the really good suspension packages (Sportivo, Hotchkis, Tien) can be had for about that much. Thats what I would want from my honey (but I know I'm not gonna get :()

Yeah, but a good driver on stock suspension will absolutely whip a bad/average driver with fancy suspension.

I'm with Scott on this one. If you really want to spend that kind of money buy your BF an experience not just a thing. Racing schools are a lot of fun.

Hey, I kinda agree with you there. 2 grand is a lot of money (sounds like even more for me as a Canadian) but I don't usually want to drop a whole load of cash for a gift.
Even if my bf and I didn't get anything for each other, it doesn't matter. I know it sounds corny, but as long as we have each other, I'm happy about that.

It's the thought that counts. But girl 2 grand is a lot of thoughts. To each his/her own, I guess. Good luck.
