hey guys i just got my first mod an s2000 antenna and i screwed it on and it required some force from the start... also when i got done @ the bottom of the antenna the front edge was uneven with the back just SLIGHTLY... i tried it like 3 times with the same results... is this normal? did this happen to anybody else?

oh ok so its normal to take a bit of pressure to screw in? and most importantly does the bottom of yours stick up a bit in the front?

It's not supposed to do that... mine screwed in fine. You may have cross-threaded the threads on the antenna or the mast. Take it out and exammine the threads to see if they are damaged. If so, you may be able to fix it.. or not.

Remember to never screw things in at an angle... always flush 90 degrees :)

Yea....mine fit perfect also, and screwed in without any force at all.

ugh :\ i checked the threads and they look fine... is there ANY space at all between the bottom of the antenna and the car? i mean less than a millimeter.. 7th did yours do that?

Mine fit perfect, sounds like they can easily be cross threaded (the one side higher than the other one). Once that happens, it's about impossible to fix without re-tapping/threading the parts.
