I'm 19, got my car a year ago, 6spd gt-s and I am paying for everything I have ever gotten for it. In my opinion i wouldn't be driving my car now if i did it over... all my money i make goes to my car right now... i do save about 300 a month but my car costs money. You lucky spoiled bastard. Of course its hard to afford it.... but there are some of us out there that pay their own way..... its people like you that make me sick and i seem to think you don't deserve it but oh well....

well im trying to be a brat. i just didnt know ya'll actually paid for your car. i just see ya'll with gt-s, with a crap load of mods, and it makes me wonder where all their money comes. and i thought it came from the parents. my parents got me my gt-s and a few months later a trd kit. and about 1month ago i got a $900 system installed. and i just made my parents order me a injen cai. i guess now i understand how lucky i am. i guess you can call me a lucky bastard, but hey what do you want me to do. im not going to get a job and work my butt off, when i can get stuff for free. i mean if you could get stuff for free, i bet you'd do the same.

well i do do very good in school. out of the 3500 kids in my school im in the top 15% which is real good. so maybe thats why they gave me what i have.

IM not trying to brag whatsoever your saying your top 15% out of 3500 big ****ing deal? i was class valivactorian. (spell?) anyways, since i dont have to pay for college my dad bought me a 2k1 gt. he paid for everything and i just enjoed the ride. Well guess what? i got careless, with the car and didnt appreciate it. My dad is a very hard working man he put in 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week. I got in a wreck and now i dont have a celica. Now i have a hyundai elantra gt. well guess what? im not mad at him for getting me a hyundai, rather i learned a very valuable lesson. Dont take things for granted. Appreciate what you get. Be respectful to your parents. I worked hard in high school in sports and academically. If i could have done it all over again, i wouldnt have taken things so carekessly and i have learned. i hope you do the same.

i appreciated every minute of my celica, i think if i had not paid for it myself i wouldnt appreciate it like i do, thats why when i got in the wreck, when it hit me... standing there with my car in shambles in the middle of the road, i just sat down on the curb and my eyes started welling up. when you spend all of your *own* money on a car, baby it, take care of it, and modify it yourself, it just pains to see it get messed up. im willing ot bet if you got in a wreck and your car was messed up like mine, you might be hurt that you just lost your car, but you wouldnt care that much, it would be more of an inconvience, cus what did you lose?

well as of right now i am the only child in the house, my older brother who is 20 and moved to austin is in college now and has a gt eclipse fully loaded. he also has some mods on his car which our mom bought. my mom just recently ordered a shine street kit for him which is like 1500-2000. for his 16yr old b-day he got a gst eclipse, but he blew the engine by too much boost or something. i never found out what really happened to the car, but about a week later my mom got him a 2000 gt eclipse. i guess since my bro gets spoiled, they do the same with me. he is graduating in one more year and he wants to get an is300. and im pretty darn sure he's gonna get that car too.

Okay, here's my deal. I just graduated from HS in the top 10%(missed 5% by like 3 spots) and earned 2 years of free college here locally. I plan on transfering outta town to a really good university after that.

I've been asking for a car (Matrix XRS) for awhile now, and my parents have agreed that by April 03 they'll buy it for me cause they know I earned it and deserve it. During HS i didn't work because my parents wanted me to concentrate on school. Knowing that my parents are going to buy me the car, i've started to work and plan on saving up my money for mods. So yes my parents are going to pay for my car, but i'm going to pay for my mods, maintanence and misc. things that i want.

Hahahahahahaah!!!!!! I love reading about this stuff!! Reminds me of playing soccer back in HS. Pre-season we used to play against the private school teams and boy was that fun. They come to the game in their nice ass new cars which none of them paid a dime for just to get their asses kicked by us....literally. We always played a much rougher game then they did. Sure, they could pass and all, but as soon as the ball left one of their feet BAM!!!!. On the floor biotch!! Fun as hell! I will always hated the idea of kids (big emphasis on that word) getting free $20+k cars, makes no sense to me. When you here the phrase, "kids today, they got no respect," this is contributing to that majorly. I especially like statements like this:

i just made my parents order me a injen cai

wtf is that all about? I bet you got a PS2, Gamecube, and XBOX as well on a 50" TV too.....in your room!! Hahaha, makes me laugh  I see your kind all the time "trying" to work, it's hilariously funny to watch the ignorance level on these kinda people. Granted, there are a few in the bunch that actually have the mental capacity to function in the "real" world, but many do not. Hahah, good HS grades. Lemme see, when was the last time my high school grades came into play......entering college, that's it. It's a great thing to put on a resume, but most people look for experience when going for a job.

Ever heard the term, "Trust fund kid"? Cause that's you in flying colors.

I paid for my car, every other car I've ever owned, and my motorcycle. Not to say my parents don't get me anything (they paid for about 70% of my college) but other than that if I want it I buy it. I graduated 12 out of 55 in May 2000 from Colorado State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. I'm an engineer and that's how I pay for all my stuff.

so i guess if you do average in school you deserve a car huh. well i was 30-something in my class (top 5%), got a full scholarship, got more scholarships, am now full time in college, work about 30 hours a week, right now its summer and i'm working about 60 hours a week (2 jobs) and not in class. i pay for everything, my car, rent, insurance, mods, living. my parents don't have a lot of money so doing good in school doesn't mean ****, except that it was good enough to get to go to college on a scholarship.

and yeah you're spoiled. "i just made my parents order me a injen cai." heheheh.

On another note my parents are wealthy as well. My parents had me get a job when i was 14 to appreciate working and paying for things myself. I graduated in the top 5% of my class while working a 40hr/week job in high school. Now I'm in college luckily being paid for by grants and i'm still working a lot to pay for things...... Welcome to the real world. Also Mcdonalds is not always a joke, I may not get paid a lot (11/hr) but once you get higher up as a store manager or something with bonuses and benefits they earn between 60-100g's a year in some cases..... fine by me (although I hate my job)

Get a ****ing job or something. I used to be friends with a rich kid that had **** handed to him, he got a cobra replica car, he has cart racing cars, new mustang cobra, bmw ...... This kid will never work.... I saw him work once and they wine and bitch and don't last one week at a real job. It is just pathetic.....

That's a WAYYY better step in the right direction. This way, you could have still bought your own car (although it would have been a much lesser vehicle than your gt-s) but instead your parents helped you upgrade the car YOU put your OWN $$ down that you worked for and saved. Hmmm, I put 6k down on my car...maybe I should have worked on my parents for some extra cash. %$#@! Anyway, you're still about 1000% better than Ms. Brat who started the post.

Some people just have life a little too easy. I graduated from HS 6th in a class of 350, with a full scholarship to an in-state college. What did my parents give me? A hearty congratulations a help with college expenses.

And you know what? I was very thankful for it. If I wanted a car, I had to go out and earn it. There is no way you can fully appreciate anything unless you have to work for it.

I'm paying for my car myself, and what pathetically few mods I have, I payed for myself. Sure, I don't have anything spectacular, because I can't really afford it (beer costs money, damnit). But I still think I'm better off not living under daddy's wallet.

I'll give ya that one. I live in a district with a lotta spoiled rich ass snobs. My sister goes to the highschool out here and told me about a dude who got a friggin' Viper for his 16th birthday. Well, guess what, turns out he crashed the damn thing and totalled it being a complete ignorant ass about the power he had under his foot and the small mental capacity of his cock ass brain. About 2 days after the crash, his folks bought him a brand spankin' new top 'o the line Firebird (WS6 i think, right?). Did he get punished for being such as ass and complete retard? No, he got a brand new ****ing Firebird. Makes me sick to even know that this story is ****ing true. The Viper is my all time fav car, and to see one wrecked by some punk ass small **** **** who makes a dude with down syndrome look like ****ing Einstein makes me seriously want to rip his head off and **** down his neck. He's lucky I never went to his high school, I'll tell you that much. I swear, if I ever see this ass trailing me while I'm driving like a UHAUL, my foot is gonna slip and hit the brakes....HARD!! Ok, end venting now.

This whole thread is just making me think about how much I hate people. I mean, I want to be rich as much as the next guy. So then I can be rich and buy myself a hot wife since all the good looking ones are superficial like that. Then I can have some kids and try and teach them some good values. Then my kids can hate everyone they know becuase they are all spolied pieces of **** like the kid in the Viper story. Its like you just can't win in this country.
